We’re trying really hard not to call this the next Twilight, because what this looks like is just another adaptation from a Young Adult series that will either hit or miss with the general public. The only thing that separates this from all the other kid-lit adaptations in the works is that Paramount has tasked Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg with writing the screenplay for Earthseed, based on the 1983 book by Pamela Sargent, the first in a trilogy of books that also included Farseed and Seed Seeker.
I haven't read the books, but the idea sounds like it could be a good movie. I don't have much negative or positive things to say about Rosenberg writing the screenplay. I just hope another cool space journey movie is made before too long.
Only Linda Carter can pull off being Wonder Woman. Let's turn back time and bring her back into the new show!!
some things should be left alone.....really, walk away
I'd like to see the pit dragon series by Jane Yolen turned into movies!
The twilight books were awesomely written, but when they hired her to write the script she sucked. Lets hope she does a good job on this one.
I'd have to disagree. Any divergence from Stephenie Meyer's writing is, in my opinion, a good thing. The woman couldn't put together a grammatically correct sentence to save her life.
I teach English, and I have yet to see these gramatically incorrect sentences people like to pretend Meyer has.
WE WILL SEE ??Could be awsome but i like 3D Effects !!!!! Lets hope for that!!!!!!
They really need to make a legit Ender's Game movie because the book was amazing. They could go really far with the 3-D effects in the movie.
Agreed. You should check out Orson Scott Card's commentary at the end of Ender's Shadow. The movie was optioned and re-optioned but the script was not right, and the studios keep trying to make Ender 16 years old and add a love interest.
yeah very disappointing but hopefully they can still pull something out soon
UGGGHHHH!!!! Good Grief people Twilight is horribly written so if this series has the same writer I expect the same result. Hopefully this one won't overrun good movies profits like the Twilight franchise did. thats all
It's not the same author, just the same screenwriter.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
