It’s pretty and shiny and reminds me of a dirtier martini version of Sex and the City, but is Christina Aguilera really ready to be the leading lady? I’m not sure yet; the first trailer for Burlesque (her feature film debut) feels more like an extended Aguilera music video than it does an actual movie you go to see in theaters. That being said, it definitely shows moments of pop, and I can’t deny the fact that the choreography looks hot (but maybe not as hot as the actresses involved). Ahem.
Burlesque stars Aguilera as a girl from a small town in Middle America who moves to the big city and starts working for a Burlesque club. Naturally she has “big dreams,” but her bosses at the club (including Cher and Stanley Tucci) prevent her from going for it all. That is, until she proves them all wrong.

Gotta admit it’s nice to see Cher doing her crazy, sexy, cool thing, and if anything the fun costumes, energetic dancing and get-up-outta-your-seat soundtrack will be all fans need at the movie theater come November 14th. Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think.
