A slightly more traditional trailer for Cloud Atlas has arrived online this morning. Back in July, Warner Bros. gave us a look at an almost six minute long trailer from Run Lola Run director Tom Tykwer and the Wachowski brothers of The Matrix –fame.
The film is slated to play at the Toronto Film Festival, which gets underway today, so before we start hearing initial reaction from critics, take a look at the new trailer below.
Cloud Atlas starring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and Jim Broadbent arrives in theaters October 26 and is currently being heralded as a potential Oscar-nominee.

Hey Derrick, just dropping a line to note your typo. Not sure if it's intentional or not, hoping the latter, but the Wachowski's are no longer the "Wachowski Brothers". Lana is a transwoman. I would hope that this being 2012 and all, regardless of personal opinions or beliefs, we can use a little more tact when posting to site as large as Fandango.

Clouds Atlas looks like a great movie. I love the idea that there is a destiny for us all. If not in this life, then we will find what we seek in the next, and the next after that, and the next after that.

This is the first time I've heard of this fim and I have to say I'm kinda jazzed to see it now. Love the premise and visuals.

Looks like an interesting movie. I especially like the theme and the inference that it skips across time!

Looks pretty phenomenal to me and yes "complex" due to it's multiple time-layers levels: I definitely would add this new Sci-fi film CLOUD ATLAS to my must see 2012 movie list and from the Creator's of the Matrix Classic Franchise. This one looks a blockbuster winner as well: Starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry. Looking forward to it's release date in October.

And this movie still looks like it doesn't make any sense whatsoever!

How? It's incredibly straight forward. It’s just the same multiple people in multiple time lines always in motion. It’s in the trailer.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
"Squirrel!"
