Rock of Ages pumps out a new trailer that mixes a bunch of '80s hits and re-packages them with big name stars to cater to the fervent American Idol/Glee fans. Based on the hit musical, Rock of Ages centers on a small town girl who meets a big city rocker in L.A.'s most famous rock club.
Tom Cruise leads this massive cast of famous faces and even belts out some Bon Jovi toward the end. Other folks you'll recognize in Adam Shankman's adaptation include Alec Baldwin, Julianne Hough, Malin Akerman, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Mary J. Blige. Bryan Cranston and Will Forte also round out the supporting cast.
So take a look at the new trailer and let us know if you think this looks like something you might check out when Rock of Ages hits theaters on June 15, or is it just too cheesy for your taste?
Tom Cruise, Rock of Ages
Im intrigued and yet a little cautious. With this cast, it could very easily come off "cheesy" which would ruin it for me.
lifes a stage
Can't wait to see it. I am impressed with the versatility of the actors involved. Rockin Good Time. Tom Cruise seems to get better with age.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
