The Best Man Holiday is finally here after a 14 year wait. But can we call it the best sequel to take a long time? Or does that crown belong to a certain family film?
With less than a month to go before Oscar nominations are finally handed out, two more guilds have announced their year-end nominees today, adding more fuel for those films at the top of the pack, but also shedding some new light on films that hadn't been mentioned as much in the awards race as of yet.
By now you’re probably sick to death of top ten lists. After all, this is that time of year where every critic and pundit doles out their top ten movies of the year list – explaining why this film ranked higher or lower than that film – and all you get to do is sit there and take it all in. Well, we’re changing that up here at Fandango, and this year we want to know what your top ten of 2010 looks like.
Earlier this year we learned that while Toy Story 3 may be the last big-screen Toy Story feature film, Pixar was still working on at least one short film that would star some of our favorite Toy Story characters. Apparently that short will be attached to Cars 2, due out June 24th, and we may now know what the central premise is.
Earlier, we posted a couple lists of the year's box office turkeys, and worst user-reviewed films. But since it's Thanksgiving, a holiday in which we're supposed to be thankful for the people in our lives and the rewards we've received over the past year, I thought it might be fun to start a discussion with you Fandango readers and talk about which 2010 films we're actually thankful for.
It’s been a decade since we last saw Woody, Buzz and the gang on the big screen, and this 3rd entry in the franchise ends it on a bittersweet, heartwarming note that’s true to the series and tremendously entertaining too.
If you haven’t started seeing them already, be prepared because as we hit the halfway mark to the holiday season, all the Oscar critics will begin weighing in on which films they think have the best shot at taking home the gold. So, in honor of “that time of year”, I’m going to put forth the first ever version of The Ten!
Never one to back down from sequel talk (at least in these past few years), Sylvester Stallone is already talking up plans to make a sequel to his latest action flick, The Expendables, due out this weekend. Speaking to the LA Times, he says, "If this does perform, I think it will open a little more liquidity in funding the sequel"...
The people have spoken, and they can’t get enough of those Toy Story characters. The third installment in Pixar’s most popular franchise opened to a staggering $109 million over the weekend, which is Pixar’s best opening to date (by over $40 million). Naturally, the fact that it was available in 3D definitely helped boost those numbers up...
In a battle not seen ‘round these parts since the mid-‘80s, The Karate Kid remake drop-kicked the competition last week in order to steal the top spot at the box office away from that devilish green ogre and a bunch of guys in a black van with a red stripe. This week things heat up a little bit, as Pixar unveils the third installment in their Toy Story franchise, while...
I bet you thought you were done with our friends from the Toy Story franchise following the release of Toy Story 3 this weekend, right? Well, think again. According to an interview with Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich over at MSN, Pixar will be bringing back some Toy Story characters for a short film that will screen in front of Cars 2 next...
This weekend sees Pixar’s best (and most beloved) franchise finally come to an end with the arrival of Toy Story 3 in theaters. It almost seems impossible that the first Toy Story arrived in theaters a whopping 15 years ago, but it really has been that long since we first became friends with Woody, Buzz and all the rest of those crazy toys.
We have another blog treat for all of you Toy Story fans out there. If you haven't seen our new Fandango Bucks Limited Edition Toy Story 3 Series yet, check 'em out below. They’ll make an excellent addition to any Toy Story fan collection, and can be personalized to include your photo next to your favorite Toy Story characters.
As one of the bigger Disney fans here at Fandango, I was thrilled to visit Pixar Animation Studios in Emmeryville, CA. I and a bunch of media outlets recently took a trip up to screen Toy Story 3, interview some of the cast and take a studio tour...
With Toy Story 3 arriving in theaters next week, those marketing wizards over at Disney cut together a series of funny videos to play opposite the ABC show The Bachelorette – all of which feature Barbie’s boyfriend Ken (voiced by Michael Keaton) giving dating advice, while navigating around what looks to be a massively hilarious ego.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
