Yeah, sure, we basically knew The Lizard was going to be the villain in the upcoming Spider-Man movie, but no one has really come out and said that Spider-Man will be battling The Lizard. We knew Rhys Ifans was playing Dr. Curt Connors, whose alter-ego is The Lizard, but considering the fact ...
Sony Pictures has just announced the official title for the new Spider-Man movie, and it’s one that longtime fans should already be familiar with. Taking a page right from the original comics, Marc Webb’s upcoming reboot will be called The Amazing Spider-Man, which is a title that may indicate the direction of this new franchise.
These days fans don’t want to wait to see what sort of poster the studio churns out for their most anticipated upcoming movies. Take a look at these two fan-made posters and tell us which one is your favorite.
When news regarding the next Superman movie started traveling around the internet, one of the early fan favorites to take on the role of Supes was Jon Hamm, of Mad Men fame. While a little old for the part (he’s 40), there was still hope that the new film would feature an aging Superman and not someone in their twenties.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls – check out the first official image of Andrew Garfield as your new Spider-Man. It’s an interesting choice for the first image, seeing as it’s dark and brooding, what with the nighttime background and scratches on Spidey’s face. He’s definitely not happy about something, and whatever it was he just fought probably got the best of him.
It's not much, but this is the first image of Andrew Garfield as the new Peter Parker on the set of his Spider-Man reboot. That's Emma Stone sitting next him – she's playing Gwen Stacy, Parker's high schoolmate and love interest. At first glance it seems they've given Garfield a sort of Edward Cullen look...
Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner has been busy racking up a number of film roles to fill up his schedule once he’s no longer needed for the Twilight franchise (currently filming the two-part series finale, Breaking Dawn). Lautner has already filmed the thriller Abduction, and he’s still set to star in a Stretch Armstrong movie, but you can...
The first images of Emma Stone as a blonde bombshell have arrived online courtesy of Just Jared. This isn't an image of Stone from the film, but it does give us a look at the actress with blonde hair, readying to play Peter Parker's love interest, Gwen Stacey, in the 2012 movie. Funnily enough, though we're used to seeing Stone as a red-head and brunette, her natural hair color is blonde...
I don’t remember the last film in which comedian-actor Denis Leary played a father, except I do remember (fondly) Leary playing the stepdad in The Sandlot and how much fun it was to see him acting all serious and whatnot.
Only a few days after learning that Emma Stone will be playing the new Gwen Stacey opposite Andrew Garfield in Sony's Spider-Man reboot (due out in 3D in 2012), the studio has announced via a press release that British actor Rhys Ifans will be playing the main villain in the movie. Two things to note right off the bat:
There's been a lot of Spider-Man talk over the weekend, and it all seems to be circling Emma Stone for now, who, contrary to earlier reports, is about to be officially offered the role of Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot. We had been told previously that Watson wasn't going to be a part of this first film, but wires may have been crossed.
Now that Andrew Garfield has been chosen to play Spider-Man in the Marc Webb-directed 2012 3D reboot, attention now turns to which actress will be chosen to play his love interest ...
Never one to back down from sequel talk (at least in these past few years), Sylvester Stallone is already talking up plans to make a sequel to his latest action flick, The Expendables, due out this weekend. Speaking to the LA Times, he says, "If this does perform, I think it will open a little more liquidity in funding the sequel"...
Sony Pictures has confirmed it by sending out a press release that Andrew Garfield has been cast as the next Spider-Man to be release on July 3rd, 2012 in 3D. The new film will begin production in early December written by James Vanderbilt and directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer).
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
