Ah the Internet, a source of never-ending rumors. Today, we get three particular fanboy movie rumors making headlines. Needless to say, take each of these reports with a grain of salt.
Emperor Palpatine Returning for Star Wars: Episode VII
Given that Disney revealed nothing about its upcoming film at its D23 Expo this past weekend, Star Wars fans are definitely hungry for some morsel of news about the upcoming film. In a post featuring "information passed to Team Jedi News via an unnamed source," Ian McDiarmid will be returning to reprise his role of Emperor Palpatine.
The site states that "specifics of the role are unclear, but it seems likely that McDiarmid will be returning to his signature role of Palpatine. Whether as the original or a clone, we are yet to discern."
Fans of the expanded Star Wars universe know that Palpatine returns using numerous clones, which, if there's any truth to this rumor, may be how he resurfaces in Episode VII.
Orlando Bloom Latest Front-runner to Play Batman
The list of potential actors who are up for playing Batman seems to grow each day. Many of the names are long shots and some of them are even comical.
The Daily Express threw its website into the mix in a post about British actors playing iconic superheroes that names Orlando Bloom as the "hot favourite" for the Batman role.
Citing a "senior source at Warner Bros." the site states, "Orlando looks odds-on to get the part even before our first casting call. He would be perfect to play off of Henry (Cavill aka Superman) and I think U.S. audiences would be happy with two Brits as the joint male leads."
Really? Two British actors playing iconic American superheroes? Is this some sort of on-going payback for declaring our independence back in 1776?
Hugh Jackman Offered $100 Million Contract to Return as Wolverine
By now some Wolverine fans will say it's about time for Hugh Jackman to put the claws away and give Wolvie a rest. A new rumor suggests Fox has bigger plans though.
The National Enquirer… should we just stop there?... claims Jackman has been offered a $100 million deal to reprise the Wolverine role for four more movies.
A "close pal" tells the site, "Hugh has a big decision to make. It's not every day an actor gets offered this kind of paycheck, but Hugh vowed never to lock himself into any multipicture deals after X-Men. He hasn't given any kind of answer yet, so at least he's considering it."
Granted, X-Men: Days of Future Past is currently positioned to be a huge summer hit next year and The Wolverine is chugging along with more than $300 million at the global box office, so it's seem logical that Jackman would at least be offered a deal to reprise the role. That being said, would you want Jackman back for a Days of Future Past sequel, X-Force movie or another Wolverine stand-alone flick?

Hugh Jackman, Star Wars, Wolverine, Batman, Orlando Bloom
Attention all Star Wars fans, rumor came in this morning that Star Wars Epsidoe 7 may be pushed back 7 months to mid December to avoid trouble with all the other Disney summer releases.
I think FOX needs to retire the Wolverine. Hugh Jackman is great as the Wolverine but it is time to put the claws away. They are doing to many X-Men movies it is coming over rated. I am losing interest with the movies. It is too much films.
I am with you on that and that is why i have not seen First Class or Wolverine
Orlando Bloom would make a great Robin or Nightwing.Older Frank Miller Batman? Seriously? The Joker is laughing somewhere in Gotham right now....
Bloom as Batman and Palpatine returning I am having trouble picturing
I love Actor Orlando Bloom but as BATMAN "No-No-No" ...'maybe playing the life story of legendary (Pirate) Actor Errol Flynn, that Orlando looks so much like. I like Actor Richard Armitage, too and wouldn't mind seeing him tackle the Role of the BATMAN yet still deep-down in my heart I want Actor Christian BALE to reprise his Role (for the up and coming Man of Steel II and Justice League) that he brought much vivid-emotions dark/light Life to BATMAN/Bruce Wayne character for he is the Dark Knight/Batman.
People also want Joseph Gordon Levitt to come back so we don't have to get the whole Batman origin story all over again.
orlando is too pretty to play old bat man , they need someone who has a few scars
Idk. He can pull it off. If he can do "Pirates," "Lord of the Rings," "The Hobbit," I don't believe it is outside of the realm of possibly that he can do Batman.
As for Hugh Jackman possibly reprising the Wolverine role, the National Enquirer isn't the best source, so only time will tell if that claim is true or not. However, it would be great to see Hugh Jackman play Wolverine again.
Orlando Bloom as Batman? Seriously? I thought WB was looking for someone older to play Batman for "Man of Steel 2."
I think they said that they were looking for a guy who could be in his early to mid-forties. Bloom is 36 years old, so he would be a bit younger than what they are looking for but he is a very well-rounded actor with a resume that could convince anyone that he could play Batman. Bloom looks a lot better than the other candidates they found for the part. I wouldn't be disappointed if he landed the part.
I'm still having trouble picturing Bloom playing Batman and plus he might come back for Pirates 5 to reunite with Johnny Depp as Jack
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
