Sony is getting geared up for a busy September. The studio has two blockbuster films opening within weeks of one another. To that end, we get two new featurettes touting Dredd 3D and Resident Evil: Retribution.
First up is Dredd. The film opens September 21 and finds Karl Urban donning the Judge's helmet as he dispenses justice, Mega-City One style.
In this featurette, we get sound bites from Urban as well as Dredd creator John Wagner, writer/producer Alex Garland, producer Allon Reich and director Pete Travis.
Wagner describes the character as a "good guy and a badass, your greatest hero and your biggest nightmare, wrapped up in one."
The rest of the sound bites remind you that he doesn't have an alter ego, he's not a superhero, if he gets cut, he bleeds. In other words, "don't confuse him with a superhero."
Next up is Round Five in the Resident Evil franchise. This featurette focuses particularly on a sequence which takes place in Moscow's Red Square, where a swarm of Red Army zombies are about to do some damage. Sound bites include director Paul W.S. Anderson, Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez who says audiences should prepare for, "chaos, cataclysm and action."
Resident Evil: Retribution opens September 14.
