Perhaps not all of you were desperately anticipating these sequels, but I'm pretty positive this news will make at least some of you very happy. First off, DreamWorks has officially announced a sequel to How to Train Your Dragon during their earnings call yesterday, saying that it'll drop into theaters in 2013. They also referred to this as a franchise, so I wouldn't be surprised if a third installment finds its way to theaters too. Seeing as How to Train Your Dragon has been getting very high marks from both audiences and critics, I don't think this sequel will find a lot of objections. However…
Clash of the Titans, Sam Worthington, How to Train Your Dragon, Brendan Fraser
er ruin this one.
Well here is hoping they don't, but I'm not holding my breath.
Has any movie recently come out that doesn't have a sequel in the works. I can't think of any recent blockbuster that has stood on it's own two feet. Can you?
I doubt Hurt Locker will have a sequel, and it was a Blockbuster and took some Oscars!
meh, biographical type movies fall under a different category, but no I doubt hurt locker will have a sequel.
nope, a sequel has been announced for that too...now I didn't see it, but the losers doesn't have a sequel, at least, not yet...
BAH. I think Hollywood has a price quota every movie has to achieve for it to be worth a sequel, and then they just throw it in to make more money. I am of coarse referencing How To Train Your Dragon. I have not seen clash of the titans and don't plan on seeing it soon, so I don't know if the movie was set up to have sequels. Dragons was not.
I watched Dragons opening night on IMAX 3D and it was by far the best Animated movie I have seen since the first Madagascar. It had a great plot, great characters, and great voice acting. It was a solid product that could stand on its own. Then it made money, Dreamworks got dollar signs in there eyes, and now I fear they will ruin it. Madagascar 2 ruined the franchise and Dragons 2 will most likely ru
Ummm this How to Train Your dragon is a book series with like 6 novels written so far... I know this is a movie site, but there are these things that come out waaay before movies or any money is made on them called books. The second book is called How to be a Pirate, the third is How to Speak Dragonese etc.
orly, well thats interesting. well then i hope they do as good a job with those as they did with the first one.
DOES ANYONE SEE THAT THE BOY IN how to train your dragon looks like JIM FROM THE OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Titans 3D, total waste of money. I think I saw a spear go 3D...once. I don't get the latest hype about the lead actor, he's been boring in every movie I've seen him in. Release the sheep...they will go see Clash 2.
YEH! for Dragons, boo for Titans.
A sequel to How to Train Your Dragon would be amazing, if done well. Clash of the Titans was such a huge disappointment compared to the original movie. It was like they took this great "overcome obstacles"-based Greek mythology story and decided to drop the obstacles, drop a ton of the plot and subtext, insert Hades as a bad guy and turn it into another Man versus Gods movie. It was the worst thing they could have done to it. And the 3D was lackluster. I couldn't care less if they made a sequel, it wouldn't get my money.
Clash II? Not unless they improve the dialogue and use 3D more effectively. I predict a spoof of this film before the sequel makes it on the screen. "Release the crack heads!!!!" Can you guess that I was thoroughly disappointed in the movie? What gave it away?
HTTYD sequel? Am i seeing this correctly? A couple of days ago I was wondering about this. Nice!
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
