Next ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ Movie Announced?
Clash of the Titans 2
I so want the Narnia movies made, but I don't think the last couple are doing the series justice. Please make these better and a bit closer to the books. I am glad that they haven't toned down the religious content much, but you can't add superfluous, nonsensical storylines. And why in the world are they skipping A Horse and His Boy? Here's one problem with the movies: Harry Potter - 8 movies in 10 years. Narnia - 3 movies in 6 possibly 7 or 8 years. These kids are going to be 45 by the time they are done. Crank them out and you'll get more hype and profits.
Sorry about replying to my own post, but I wasn't properly indignant before.
Why are they skipping The Silver Chair & A Horse and His Boy. Are they thinking of condensing the series to 5 from 7?
I definately like to see the continuous saga's in NARNIA even if it's a prequel: The Magician's Nephew sounds intriqueing and I would love to see the Professor in the 1st NARNIA: The Lion, Witch & the Ward-robe and Aslan, how NARNIA became to be. It's rich Classic & Inspiriational storyline Novel(s) that reaches deep into your Soul. I wouldn't mind seeing the Previnsy children: Lucy (my favorite-Actress Georgie H.), Edmund, Peter and Susan the young actors (male & female) that played these Roles were and are unforgettable: and if possible wouldn't mind seeing their return every now & then. I love the NARNIA Trilogy Movies and look forward to more!!
clash of the titans was great, narnia sucked...the books were perfect..shouldnt have been made into that christian babble. ima christian and im offended by it... it should be in movies where it really belonds, not mainstream media!!! cant wait for titans 2, sure 3d is overused but it doesnt suck in EVERY MOVIE just 70 percent of them lol. RESIDENT EVIL:afterlife was great in 3d and so were all the final destinations...well 3 and 4 lmao..quit bitching people...
The Silver Chair should be next, but if they want to whip out The Magician's Nephew first, which is one of the best books in that particular series, then I am okay with that. As a christian movie-goer, I love christian based movies (including Fireproof, Letters to God, and the Narnia series), so it will work out either way. I saw Clash of the titans and thought that it was OK, but sequels usually aren't better than the first, so I need to see some major improvements in trailers if I tend to see this movie. James Franco will (hopefully) rock out in the new Apes movie!
As far as Narnia is concerned, they need the original actors to grow up because the next time they appear in the stories they are adults. Chronologically there are only two stories after "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader": "The Silver Chair" and "The Last Battle", both of which feature Eustace and introduce a new young lady name Jill Poll.
Cookie-Chan, while "The Magician's Nephew" is indeed the origin story of Narnia, the first book published was "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." "The Magician's Nephew" was the sixth of the seven books to be published, thus it was published as a prequel. Lewis himself preferred that sets of the books be produced with TMN as the first book, but many publishers have ignored that preference.
they dont need to wait for them to grow up. like at the end of lion witch wardrobe they used different actors. use them again.
Clash of The Titans does not need a squal. Clash of the Titans was so stupid and a headache to watch in 3D. This sequal has "Razzie Gold" written all over it. Chronicles of Narnia is making a good desistion to movie on from the main 4 kids since their all about 20 years old. Tilda Swintin and Liam Neason are the only two that really can stay
if u have read the books you would know that they wouldnt be needed in any other movie. the remaining books have different characters. and for clash of the titans i feel that movie is way underrated. it was fun to watch, you cant use the excuse that the 3d sucked because all 3d sucks. i watched it in reg 2d and i had a blast. im tired of people holding this movie to crazy high standards.
Wait a minute. If Perseus is raising his son by himself, where is Io? Also, does "The Magician's Nephew" take place before or after "Voyage of the Dawn Treader"?
It's the first book chronologically.
Thank You! Finally someone with some sense can say what all the other so called "experts," haven't said, refused to say or just flat out lied about. Everytime I heard someone say the lion witch and the wardrobe was the first story I wanted to just call them an idiot and smack them across the face lol.
Loved Magicians nephew and think this could be a really fun book to adapt to the big screen. However I'm sure purests of the book series will not like what comes out mostly because there isn't much action in the magicians nephew like there is in the other books. So a new subplot will probably have to be written in featuring jadis an the journey to get the apple.
Since "The Magician’s Nephew" is a prequel, do the events in it occur after "The Silver Chair" even though the book comes after "The Silver Chair"?
It's the creation of Narnia, and the story of the old professor from the Lion witch and wardrobe story. It covers how asland created narnia and how the wicked witch Jadis came to enter his domain, also how the wardrobe is created is covered slightly at the end of the book.
I've been hoping they would make a movie out of The Magician’s Nephew! That could be a great film. It's one of my favorite books.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
