Could Robert Pattinson go from moody vampire to moody superhero? The other day we told you about how Twilight: Eclipse director David Slade has signed on to direct a reboot of the 2003 Ben Affleck-starring superhero movie Daredevil. According to THR, Slade will adapt the critically-acclaimed graphic novel Born Again, penned by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli, which finds the Kingpin of Crime learning Daredevil’s secret identity, and then using it to destroy his life.

If the writing, directing, and CGI is good, I'm not sure the actor will make or break this for me. In fact, if the CGI doesn't look like complete cartoon garbage, I'll be happy. Why does CGI still suck? We can launch a nuclear bomb to hit a doorknob in China and our CGI still sucks!! Why?!?!
I think it is pretty ridiculous that they are bothering redoing an average superhero movie.
Meh, stick with Ben Affleck, everyone hates it when you switch actors out of films, it makes it not even worth watching. Take The 2 Hulk movies, first one had Bana in it and took too long to set the story and the real action didnt start till the very end, then in the sequel you get Edward Norton who is a much better actor and actually fit Bruce Banner's persona much better than Eric Bana, they should've had edward norton do the first one too.
If you were going to switch actors in Daredevil, you best be getting Ryan Reynolds, that guy has alot of potential and he can play a serious role (take Amittyville remake 2004)
He couldn't do any worse than Ben Affleck. Personally I can't remember a movie with Affleck in it that I consider memorable. Body language and facial expressions sell character persona in a movie. Some got it some don't. I vote for Chris Pine also.
I would suggest Ben's dramatic roles because he's amazing and definitely memorable when he does his dramatic roles and he is brilliant when it comes to directing. Try watching "The Town," which he not only directed but starred in alongside John Hamm and Jeremy Renner. Also, check out his directorial debut film called, "Gone Baby Gone," which stars his baby brother Casey Affleck, Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris...Gone Baby Gone made me start giving Affleck a lot more credit than I was giving him because it was powerful, emotional and intense with everybody doing a great job at acting and a jaw-dropping ending you won't see coming.
NOOOOOOOOOOO dam i thought reboots are suppose to fix where they messed up on the first movies and the bad casting was one of the flaws and now their doing it again.
MICHAEL C. HALL AS DAREDEVIL!!! Nuff Said!!! (No pun intended)
Fail. I say.
F*ck this movie if pattinson is in there.
Michael C Hall,Chris Pine,if not this movie will fail big time.
MICHAEL C. HALL F*** YES, I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT HE SHOULD BE IN MORE MOVIES FOR ONE AND SECONDLY WE NEED A ROUGH LOOKING ADULT FOR DAREDEVIL AND HALL IS PERFECT WHILE PATTINSON LOOKS LIKE A 14 YEAR OLD SCHOOL GIRL.
I've never really watched Dexter other than maybe a few clips but he just looks kind of gritty looking.Which is perfect for the role of Daredevil and He probably doesn't look half bad with a pair of sunglasses on. :P
Yeah Michael C. Hall is gritty and can be very dark and in the show Dexter he wears sunglasses (of course it's Miami so obviously he wears them from time to time) and he looks good with or without them. Plus he's ripped, even though it doesn't look like it he totally is. Have you seen him without his shirt off in the movie, "Gamer," he's got muscle.
As long as they take making a "superhero" movie seriously like Christopher Nolan, I'm up for seeing it and up for seeing Robert Pattinson in the role. If they end up having more horrible over the top acting like Colin Farrell did in the Daredevil movie, it'll be a bloody mess.
Over the top? He was the best part of the movie. He played the character just as he is in the comics which are, by nature, a bit over the top.
Sorry, I disagree that comics have to be over the top.
They've already ruined one of my favorite comic characters once. Please, please, please, please, do not let this emo-wanna-be, pseudo-sparkling-vampire step into the role of Matt Murdock and actually make it WORSE than the Affleck flick!
I can't see Robert Pattinson in this type of role but to say "he's sort of a joke for doing the Twilight Saga". From a no one to the one. And a huge bank roll. Some joke.
I absolutely agree with you, TwiMomDiane. I just can not even picture him in a superhero role. I see him in drama and romance. Of course, I will be there to watch him if he were to go for the superhero role.
Thanks totallytunedin. I would also see the movie and like the idea that Robert Pattinson will not allow himself or others to type cast him.
Yea I like that too he dose not do roles that people just want him too just fill the pocketbook of other cuz they know girls and women alike will flock too go see it but yes I would see him if he played it but he is hot!
I watched the first daredevil and it was terrific.Ben is the man .If he's not the one playing the dare devil in this new installment I will not see this movie.
Hm...could be interesting. Despite what people say, Pattinson CAN be a very good actor, and COULD do well in this role....I'd rather hear who else was being considered before saying I want him to play the role, though.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
