Percy Jackson & the Olympians
Percy is my favorite character. He is my favorite character because he is the son of Poseidon and Poseidon is one of my favorite gods from Greek history. Percy is adventurous. He has a cool pen that can turn into a sword, and a watch that can turn into a shield. Being the son of Poseidon, he can heal himself when in water and he can breathe underwater! I like the way his character narrates the story with humor. I also like Percy's family. His mom seems like a very nice person. I like when Percy's stepfather, who is a very mean person, is turned into stone...what goes around, comes around, right? I can't wait to see the movie!
My son is the real fan... he loves Percy! He says Percy has an "I can do it" attitude. Sounds like a great way to be. Plus he loves adventure (my son and Percy). I LOVE the fact that these books have turned my 4th Grader into an avid READER.
Percy is my favorite character because he shows how someone stands up for themselves when they are wronged. This movie was different from the books but it is a great movie and I
would like to see it again and again.
Favorite character was percy. great movie excellent effects i am biased i loved the book
My 7 year old son is convinced he is a hero (certainly in his dad's eyes:) and tries to emulate the goodness in humanity and keeps encouraging me to be the best we both can be. He senses right from wrong and even sometimes speaks his clarity in such a way that blows me away. He is the spy next door, he helps animals, smaller kids and really wants to be the good guy in his mental and emotional internal narative, He is amazed about the natural and imaginative worlds and knows there is LOTS going on in the universe. He's willing to be silly, vulnerable and goofy. He wants to be Percy in real life! Just incredible.
My favorite character is Rachel, The way she handles herself being JUST a human after all is really neat. I wish she had come in the series sooner.
Beckendorf is totally my favorite character. He is awesome, brave, wicked strong, and crazy skilled. I mean, he can make anything he wants with a forge and some tools. For those of you who read The Demi-God Files ( If you haven't, look away now!) the camouflage armor he made was so cool. Annabeth is a very very close second. She's had a tough life, but she's still so strong. -- A superfan, age 11
My favorite is Tyson cuz he is stupid.
My favorite character in the book is Luke. I mean, he is evil, but he's not all that evil. In Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Last Olympian, Percy retraces Luke's childhood. Luke was never evil. He was just being mislead. He was scared of his mother's glowing eyes and wierd voice. He was scared that his mother hasd a vsion about his death, but she wouldn't tell him. Hermes also knew that Luke would turn into Kronos, but he couldn't tell his son because he wanted to protect his fate. Eventually Luke ran away, and then was forced to go to Camp Half-Blood. Kronus got Luke on his side by making him think that his father does not care about him. In the end, Luke saw what he had become and helped defeat kronus. He was really the hero.
My favorite character is Athena. She is very smart, and thinks her plans out. I also admire how in "The Titan's Curse", she gives some advice to Percy, but does not give the whole prophecy away. Another cool thing about her is that she is really impowering and admirable. As one of the only female Olympians, she is a good example. Although the gods are not able to contact their children directly, I found it kind how she gave Annabeth the enchanted hat for her birthday (Which ended up saving her a bunch of times, too!) Even though Athena is not one of the main characters, she is still super cool.
Juliana- age 12
My favorite charecter is percy jackson because he starts out as just a normal kid but through the story he learns of his new abilities and who his father is and he becomes stronger and he isnt one of those people who saves the world all by himself he needed help from his friends annabeth & grover
grover because he is so funny
Medusa, as played by Uma Thurman! Best part of the movie! So campy and hilarious!
percy because he a son of the big 3
My favorite character is Percy Jackson because he is cool and funny. He's also really really brave. He's sweet with riptide. He can totally cream monsters. He has extremely cool powers. His dad's Poseidon. Which is really cool. Percy would do anything for his friends. He would even risk his life for his friends. Percy never gives up on any challenge. He has a disguised sword(his pen). Whenever it get's lost or something it comes right back to him. How cool is that. I bet no other sword could do that. He stays cool under pressure. He has Mrs.Oleary to take him places. He's also a cool really big hellhound that can fight really well. And Percy's a good friend. That's why I picked Percy Jackson.
Percy is my favorite character because he is a good model for all kids his age to look up too. He is brave, he doesn't let what others think affect him, and he understands that friendship is very valuable. All very good attributes to have while growing up and learning to adapt to this crazy world we live in.
Who's my favorite character? I don't think I could pick one. All the characters are amazing in their own way. Percy is brave yet somewhat awkward (my favorite kind of hero if you ask me- I mean, it worked wonders for Harry Potter). Annabeth is wise (DUH- she's the daughter of Athena) and witty. Grover is funny and loyal (the obvious choice for comic relief- kinda like Ronald Weasley). Chiron is the wise teacher/kind of parent figure (like the Percy Jackson version of Dumbledore- and yes I know that's the third HP reference I've made).
No. I really don't think I could pick a favorite character if my life depended on it. One character doesn't make a book or movie. Any story takes all of its characters and their interactions to make it good.
i also think that Chiron is super cool and his a centaur
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
