Snow White and the Huntsman Do you hear that? It's the sound of either Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen chewing--nay, devouring--the scenery, or audiences' jaws hitting the floor at the notion that glowering Kristen Stewart earns the title of "fairest in the land" over Ms. Theron. Either way, this movie is a hoot to watch Theron swirl and shout lines like "I shall give this wretched world the queen it deserves" to her weird, effeminate brother and the scene (movie?)-stealing seven dwarfs that offer a little relief from the grim proceedings. The effects and production and costume design are outstanding. Extras: Featurette "A New Legend Is Born," director commentary (DVD/BD); the BD adds a 360-degree set tour and three featurettes on reimagining the fairy tale, the citizens of the kingdom, and the movie's effects.

What to Expect When You're Expecting Yet another entry in the advice book turned movie genre (when did that become a thing?) with an all-star cast (Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Dennis Quaid, Chris Rock) starring as couples in various stages of pregnancy with varying reactions to their situation. Extras: Two featurettes, "The Dudes Unscrewed" and "What to Expect and the Pregnancy Bible," deleted scenes (DVD/BD).
The Loved Ones Australian director Sean Byrnes' little horror film about a spurned teenager and the revenge she and her dad take out on the guy who turns down her prom invite came out in his homeland two years ago, and sadly got a very limited release in the States this year. If you're a horror fan his take on the tortured-captive tale is a don't-miss; if you're a fan of good filmmaking in general you'll find this a pleasant surprise, with good acting, characters you like and unexpected twists--though it's certainly not for the squeamish. Extras: Unrated version, interviews with the stars and effects supervisor (DVD)

Snow White and the Huntsman
DVD News, Giveaways
Snow White has always been my favorite fairy tale so I'd love to win this adaptation and I love Charlize Theron in everything!
Snow White was a surprisingly good movie, especially because of how good Kristen Stewart's British accent is. Also, the visuals are really amazing. Every effect was so beautiful and used effectively.
Snow White is my favorite movie so I was super excited to see this. I am a sucker for a good love story. So I my favorite part was the forest scene with all the mythical creatures & of course when the huntsman realizes he has fallen in love with Snow White! Great job making over this movie!
I love how charlize theron killed the king and took over the kingdom in one nite!
I love Charlize Theron's deliciously malicious Evil Queen. She was the only highlight in the movie, but a big enough one to make it worth owning.
I would comment because I really do want it, but look at how many other comments thier are. So on that note this is my comment, "I REALLY DO WANT IT" :-)
I am a big fan of this genre.
My daughter, sister & I absolutely loved this movie! It was a new twist to the fairytale classic. Closer telling to the Grimm version. We saw it in the theater 4 times. Each time we saw it, we noticed something new that we'd missed the other times. The cinematography & special effects were outstanding. The actors portrayed their characters superbly- great job casting actors that were believable so that people could connect with their characters. We didn't want the movie to end. I would love to win the contest so that I can show off the movie to the rest of my family (my parents haven't gone out to a movie theater in years & my brothers never got the chance to see it while it was out). If I don't win, I'll eventually be able to purchase it.
The movie was absolutely my favorite!! The queen had wickedly evil supernatural powers; as she disguised herself as the prince and poisoned snow white. The place the drawfs showed snow white and the huntsmen the secret wonderland, which was absolute BEAUTIFUL!!! The white deer was absolutely amazing; it was wicked when te queen crawled out covered with tar from the crows. It was very romantic when the huntsmen was in love with snow white!!!!<3 The battle was exhilarating and intense!!!!! Kristen Stewarts speech after she woke up from the kiss of the huntsmen; she had motivated many to go to war and fight for what was right!!!! The mirror was absolutely unexpecting to look like that, but was beyond imaginary!!!! The movie was SPECTACULAR!!!!
to all you haters hating on Kristen Stewart. your words are worthless to her because she is on top of the world your just jealous! Kristen is the best actress ever shes not stuck up unlike other celebs.
That's right, you tell em!! I don't like the Twilight Saga movies but she was a great actress in those movies!! Plus she was great at playing the part of Snow White!!!! It was absolutely spectacular!!! I am actually wanting to see Part 2 of Breaking Dawn!!!! And super excited!!!!
Kristen Stewart is such a terrible actress. It's worth it just for that.
Charlize Theron of course. She's great as always.
Snow White has always been my favorite. Went and saw this movie and absolutely loved it!
The visual effects rated among some of the best I have viewed in a film. I would love to see a segment on the DVD/Blu-Ray about the conceptualization, visualization and execution of some of the visual effects. The moving branches of the trees in the dead forest, the encounter with the giant troll and the resurrection of the glass shards into deadly fighting warriors come to mind as examples of this unforgettable visual effects.
What I liked best of the movie was when The evil queen was disguised as Prince Charming and poisoned Snow.
I most enjoyed the way they spun everything in the story, from the Evil Queen and her Mirror, to the way they presented the Huntsman and the Seven Dwarfs, it was all just really great, and a pleasant surprise.
I liked the visual experience the best
The best part of the movie by far is Chalize Theron!! We all wanted her to perish but we felt so bad for her at the same time! She was great.
this movie was a great twist on snow white and charlize was absolutely stunning as ravenna! i cannot wait to watch this over and over again. better than mirror mirror. a new fave
I loved the differences from the original tale. Especially how the Huntsman played a larger part in the story.
I have not seen the movie yet:[ This is movie that shows the girl can be the hero not just the damsel in distress. The trailers were amazing, the moment I saw one I hooked!
Snow white has always been my favorite whilst growing up. I love how this is the story but with a twist.i can't wait to be able to watch it over and over.
My daughter and I really enjoyed Snow White and The Huntsman at the theater. My favorite part was the troll and bridge scene. Took that childhood terror and really brought it to life. My daughter wants the fairies. The whole scene of fairies and their land was absolutely beautiful. Anyone could come away feeling like they were there and saw first hand those beautiful little creatures. Excellent job on the special effects. Truly a joy to watch.
