Seven Psychopaths Blink and you probably missed this one in limited release last year, but it's one of the best times at the movies you could have in 2012. The pitch-black comedy stars Colin Farrell as a drunken screenwriter who, with help from his best friend, becomes embroiled in a dognapping that sends them on the run from a wacko played by Woody Harrelson. The writing is terrific--it'll keep you on your toes with various twists and turns--and performances by everyone, especially Sam Rockwell as the dog-loving friend and the always awesome Christopher Walken are top notch. It's violent, brutal, clever and at times, laugh-out-loud funny.
Hotel Transylvania Adam Sandler voices Dracula, who runs a hotel in Transylvania where no humans are allowed to give his monster friends respite from the real world. One day he decides to have everyone over for his daughter's birthday party, but one guest turns out to be a human who attracts the wanderlust-struck Mavis. Now Drac has to figure out a way to keep him away from Mavis and the other guests.

Paranormal Activity 4 Somehow they've managed to keep this concept alive for now four films, with the third really the only sequel that came anywhere close to living up to the original. Katie Featherston returns for a hot second, but this go-round is mostly about a teenager (Kathryn Newton) who suspects all is not right with the little boy who moved in next door, mainly since the knives and lamps haven't stopped moving since he arrived.
