The Lorax Earlier this year the team behind Despicable Me brought us this animated adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic, a sort of environmental cautionary tale against the dangers of consumerism set to a catchy musical score. Danny DeVito voices the Lorax, a forest creature who once presided over an idyllic valley home to fluffy pinwheel trees and cute critters, before a businessman paved it over for a synthetic city. Years later, a boy goes searching for the one last tree, and learns about what happened to the forest in the process. Extras: 3 mini-movies, featurettes on adapting Dr. Seuss, deleted scene, interactive features: a sing-along, Dr. Seuss drawing tutorial and several games (DVD/BD); the BD adds another game, funny commercials and an exploration of the Lorax's valley. Giveaway: Want a copy of the movie on DVD/BD? We have three (3) combo packs to give away. To win, simply enter in the comments below, what your favorite Dr. Seuss adaptation is and why. Winners will be chosen at random by next Tuesday, Aug. 14, and notified by email with three days to respond before an alternate is chosen. 18 and over, U.S. residents only. Check out an exclusive clip:
Marley You don't need to be a fan of the legendary reggae artist's music to enjoy this well-crafted, if a little exhaustive, documentary that features interviews with Bob Marley's friends, bandmates and family, who for the first time gave this film their support. Extras: Scenes with the Marley family, an extended scene with Bunny Wailer, photo gallery and audio commentary with Ziggy Marley (DVD/BD) Bel Ami Robert Pattinson is a turn-of-the-century Paris playboy who, penniless, woos the ladies (Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci, Kristin Scott Thomas) to crawl up the social and financial ladder. Extras: Behind-the-scenes featurette New to Blu: Celebrating its 25th anniversary is Stanley Kubrick's graphic, horrifying Vietnam meditation Full Metal Jacket, which gets the royal Blu treatment complete with the new-to-DVD documentary Stanley Kubrick's Boxes, the featurette "Between Good and Evil," theatrical trailer and star commentary. A 44-page hardcover booklet includes notes from star Matthew Modine as well as photos and more. It's a must-own for Kubrick fans and anyone with an appreciation of fine filmmaking.
Join Mel Brooks, Rick Moranis, John Candy and Bill Pullman as Spaceballs blasts off with a 25th Anniversary edition that includes an all-new featurette, "Farce Yourself! Spaceballs and the Skroobing of Sci-Fi," in which Mel Brooks guides viewers on a complete tour of the production. You'll learn what inspired the film, its visual effects creation, the satire of films like Star Wars and Alien and more from the director's uniquely hilarious view. Cat in the Hat -- so many quotable quotes, I love the sets, I want the family's house. Everything about that movie is great. Lorax and Horton Hears a Who are tied for second place

I love the Grinch. I have mixed feelings about the live action one. I prefer Boris Karloff over Jim Carrey.

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. I liked the fact that it was a live action remake, and I thought Jim Carey was funny and did a fine job as the Grinch.

I really enjoy all of Dr. Seuss's books are the film adaptations, but my favorite would have to be The Lorax. It has a subject matter that is relevant to our world today and was surprisingly political.

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Simply because I love holiday films
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
"Squirrel!"
