The Adjustment Bureau Fate is sticking its business in the romance blooming between politician David Norris (Matt Damon) and Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt) by sending felt-hatted goons from the Adjustment Bureau to get in the way. Kinda like when you didn't get your dream job because you slept through your alarm and never made the interview. Turns out David wants none of this Fate stuff, and as he goes off the rails, the movie takes a darker turn and has us pondering such things as motivation, self-determination and, well, fate. The story (from Philip K. Dick) may be a little gimmicky and the end flimsy, but Damon and Blunt have an electric chemistry that works so well, you'll forgive where the plot falters.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules Have you forgotten how mean and miserable middle school was? Well, look no further than this sequel, which follows in the hostile vein of its predecessor but with even more gross-out gags and meanness--this time much of it coming from Greg's (Zachary Gordon) older brother Rodrick (Devon Bostick). Extras: Audio commentary by director David Bowers (DVD/BD)
Unknown Liam Neeson has become one of Hollywood's go-to guys for action thrillers, but unlike Taken, Unknown should have stayed unmade. Here he plays a botanist (?) who wrecks his car, ends up comatose, and wakes up to find out nobody knows who he is. Decent acting by Neeson and Bruno Ganz as a former German secret police can't save the movie from its laugh-out-loud directorial flubs (and January Jones's dreadful performance). Extras: "Unknown: What Is Known?" featurette (DVD/BD); "Liam Neeseon: Known Action Hero" (BD)
Cedar Rapids Ed Helms stars in this R-rated under-the-radar indie in which he stars as a naive insurance agent in a podunk town who learns the ropes when he's sent to a convention in Iowa's biggest city. This poor shlub doesn't know what he's in for when he meets three fellow conventioneers (Anne Heche, John C. Reilly, Isiah Whitlock Jr.) and before you can say "hangover too" he's knocking back the booze and starting fights at parties. Extras: Deleted scenes, gag reel, featurettes: "Mike O'Malley Urban Clogger," "Wedding Belles -- Crashing a Lesbian Wedding," "Tweaking in the USA" and "Top Notch Commercial" (DVD/BD); "Convention Connection," a Fox Movie Channel special and the BD-Live feature "Ed Helms Mad Chopper Skills" (BD)
Also New: The Eagle, HappyThankYouMorePlease, Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, The Island (BD)
