Twi-hards, you can breathe a sigh of relief. New Moon director Chris Weitz isn't leaving the world of cinema just yet. Rumors that he's retiring after directing The Gardener hit the mill last week with an interview with Moviemaker Magazine.

I would gladly welcome Chris back to the world of Twilight! He did an awesome job with New Moon, so it just goes to show he'll do an awesome job with Breaking Dawn. If they are going to split the movie into two parts ( like they are doing to HP), then they have to use the same director. There would be no point not to. Its going to either be a win win for us Twiliight Fans or a bust but that's how this world plays. So for now I'll wait and see what happens!

If the cast and Twihards have a vote, it's Chris. We will never forget what Catherine set in motion, but sense Summit won't let her end what she started. Summit cannot do the final book justice in one movie. Breaking Dawn has to be I and II. I can envision Midnight Sun at some point in our future. I only hope Stephanie and Summit see it too.

I would love to see Chris Weitz return as director of "Breaking Dawn". I am amazed at his job with 'New Moon' and can only hope that David Slade can follow Chris' expertise. My vote for 'Breaking Dawn' is most definitely the return of Chris Weitz for director.

It's nice to see a lot of Chris Weitz love around here! We'll definitely see what David Slade has in store.
I have not seen David Slade's work. If you have, do you think he will do a good job with Eclipse? I am always nervous about having a new director. I like sticking with one! Glad you liked Chris as well.
