For Twihards who thought that the teaser poster for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1 was, well, lacking characters, this new artwork (not an official one sheet, but should still be of interest to all you fans) should make up for the lack of vampires (and a werewolf). This new image features Bella clinging to Edward (what else is new, right?) while Jacob stands solo as the odd wolf-man out, surrounded by the Cullen coven. The international UK poster features full body shots of the lead trio and will be released for sale September 2nd. You can pre-order it here. As if you didn’t already know, Breaking Dawn – Part 1 arrives in theaters November 18th (that’s 93 days and counting).
UPDATE: Check out the new HD pics which appeared in the Fall Preview issue of Entertainment Weekly, now up in our Breaking Dawn Photo Gallery!
Does anyone know if they are going to show all of the movies from Twilight through Breaking Dawn at the premiere (midnight showings) like they did with Eclipse??
I really hope so! that was so fun!! We got there at 4 in the afternoon to the theater. They showed all of the Twilight movies in order up to Eclipse right at midnight! I would spend the whole day there with NO complaints!!
cant wait for the movie!!!!!!!
this poster sucks HARD...lol
cant wait for this new movie buying tickets early so they wont sell
I can't wait for this movie, but I really don't like this poster.
I am totally with you acgabriel1983. I didn't read the books until I saw Twilight. I liked the movie but fell in love with the books. The movies that have followed for me seem to lack the true nature of the characters no matter who played them. This I feel falls on the writer's and director's that haven't fully interpreted Stephanie's vision. Though I look forward to seeing the last two installments, I think it's just because I want to see everything Twilight! I just know that I'm going to be byass this year because I am now and forever will be Team Jacob so I'm not looking forward to the love fest in the first installment of Breaking Dawn.
The poster at Play.com is only available to European buyers.
Honestly, I am a HUGE fan of the books. I was before people even blinked at the name Edward Cullen. These movies are a poor interpretation of these books. The characters are nowhere near the personalities they have in the books. The only reason I am going to watch this is because I am hoping that they get SOMETHING right. Still, I can't stomach Kristen Stewart. She is a HORRIBLE Bella. Sorry but if you claim to be a real Twilight fan and you love these movies then you didn't read the books before the movie was even thought about. There are too many changes and so much bad acting that they've turned my 2nd favorite book series into crap.
I have to agree w/all u said.I understand about filming schedules,budgets,etc.etc.
Sooo, maybe this should have been left alone as a book series.Which was an A + in every way !!
Can you imagine anyone trying to make " Black Dagger Brotherhood into a movie and then do sequels..What a diasaster !! But..But... I soo wish it could be done, *sigh* !!!
Excited-yes but this poster is beyond boring. It should be only bella, edward, and jacob. Edward and Jacob should be back to back with bella a little above looking up at the dawn coming up from the bottom and her looking into the darkness. Where is the metaphor in this poster? I feel like the creative team for their designs sucks some time. I understand the connecting design between all the movies, but this is where they start throwing down some serious situations and amo. And Jacob and Edward should have their own posters because of the wars they face within their own families.
Being a Twihard myself, I gotta say I don't like this poster. Edward looks funny and why is Jacob in the middle of all the Cullens?? He looks so out of place. Bad poster, but I can hardly wait for the movie!!
I totally agree, being a graphic designer and a Twilight fan, I hate this poster. It's the same position as all the other movies, edward bella, and jacob I'm mean this is the best movie yet, switch it up a bit.
This poster is boring..too much open space-use it to show the characters! colors are not "dawn" colors! What about a faint watermark pic of Renesme barely showing thru as the background. It looks like a big brown mass in front now-maybe to accent Edward and Bella? Doesn't work. The arrangement looks boring- no action in it. Why does everyone have to face forward...have Edward in Bella's arms as she does save everyone. She is looking at him with a smile, Edward looking slightly back "contented" as he has found his love! Have Jacob looking frustrated towards them. I am a HUGE fan of the books and I wish they would have used more of what Edward said in the books. But I also love the films and am looking forward to BD1!!!!
But that would give away parts of the movie. Did you see Renesmee? Nope!
Yea, what's with Bella always clinging to Edward? I want to see a poster with Edward clinging to Bella for a change. Maybe in the next one when she's a more powerful vampire than him.
There's an idea. But nobody listens to us anyway so it's just talk anyhow.
That is really ****** and cuntingly rude of you to to just give the ending away!!! What a cancerous *****!
God twilight movies are awful they are a pure chick flick idk how its grown to be so popular.
Obviously you are not a true fan. If you were you would not have the audacity to post such ridiculousness! If you don't have any nice or positive to say about the movie/franchise please keep all future postings to yourself.
i agree. no plot whatsoever, the acting is horrible and they have vampires that sparkle and werewolves that are pedophiles.
The Twilight Saga books are amazing and the movies are good too. I saw the Twilight movie before I read any of the books and it made me want to read the books and I read all of them within a few weeks. And since then I have read them multiple times. Harry Potter however - bores me and I'm not tempted to read the books - but I never really cared about seeing the newer movies so that's probably why I didn't bother reading the series.
You really should read the HP series. They are much better than the movies in my estimation and I have read them all first for myself and then for my grandkids. I also own all the movies. There is so much left out of the movies in both the Twilight and Harry Potter series that you won't believe it till you read it. There are magical characters in the HP books that never make it into the movies, there is an entire storyline with Bill Weasly that is only touched on (barely at that) in the last movie. If you like to critique the differences between books and movies, this is a series that will give you talking points into the next decade.
because it is a triangle love story you dolt. they almost always do well. and below the love story is a morality tale, just like in the HP movies you named yourself after. like all of us who defended HP, i will defend Twilight as a modern love story that does not depend on sex to sell.
PS Not a big fan of the posters either. They leave a lot to be desired. Look at the posters for movies like Gone With the Wind and other great flicks for inspiration if you are lacking it is what I want to say to the photographer, then make a determination. Here's one of my ideas that will never see the light of day; Bella is in the foreground looking up into the breaking dawn with Edward on one side gently holding her hand and Jacob on the other, same pose. On Jacob's side are Quil, Embry and one wolf. On Edward's side is Rosalie, the Doctor and Bella's father behind her at a distance. Do the entire piece in purple/lilac/lavender tones.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
