Another year of The MTV Movie Awards are in the books, and a familiar title has once again topped the winners list with multiple awards. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse brought home five awards (including Best Movie) at last night's awards show, proving once again how tight a hold the franchise has on the voting teens of the world. Expect Twilight to continue dominating the MTV Movie Awards through 2013, when things finally get interesting as The Hunger Games will enter the race. Still, though, not even Harry Potter in his final go-round can tackle this vampire-and-werewolf-themed franchise, so until the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, we'll be seeing nothing by Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart. Question is: Are you okay with that?
Meanwhile, while Twilight was cleaning house, we got a few new looks at some upcoming films. MTV premiered the first teaser trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 (see that over here), as well as fresh looks at Super 8 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2. See both of those clips -- as well as all the night's big winners -- below .

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Breaking Dawn, Super 8
Harry Potter, Twilight
Things like this almost make me ashamed to be a teenager (Almost). There are people who will vote for the Twilight Saga no matter how crappy it is from some cult instinct. Seriously, Harry Potter is so much better. I swear, 30 years from now, they're children will see the Twilight Saga and wonder why it was ever so popular. I know my parents wonder why they liked certain things as teens. I don't see how anyone could take the MTV movie awards seriously.
I only tuned in for the HP clip.
Twilight and MTV kind of deserve each other. They're both crap XD.
Its all fan voted. So that explains the Twilight domination, which was entirely depressing. Despite liking Twilight to a degree, in nearly every category, there were more deserving nominees.
Nothing about that show interested me, despite watching the entire thing. Whats-his-name, the host, was not funny at all.
The "world-premier" Harry Potter trailer was 90% made up of already-seen footage, the exception being a couple moments of the Harry/Voldemort forest scene.
The Breaking Dawn teaser was interesting a little, but the "headboard breaking sex" made me sigh in exasperation.
The only high point of the show was Reese Witherspoon (and maybe Robert Pattinson's almost-bleeped F-word).
the MTV movie awards is always joke. Proof: Justin Beiber's singing won best jaw dropping moment over the hotel fight sequence in Inception, which I think was one of the most amazing scenes in any movie in recent years.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
