Despite Marvel’s initial low-ball offer of $250K, Mickey Rourke has finally signed on to play a Russian antagonist in Iron Man 2, reports Nikki Finke’s Deadline Hollywood. Rourke’s agent was able to boost the offer to a "significant" level, but nothing is set in stone yet as Marvel has yet to confirm anything. You can count on Rourke to get a head start researching his role while he’s in Russia this week promoting The Wrestler. Intriguingly, Sony has also been talking to Rourke about a villain role in Spider-Man 4 (yep, another one is confirmed). Check out these new release dates for Marvel’s upcoming slew of superheroes:
