Last week it was announced that MGM and Screen Gems would team up to remake Stephen King’s 1976 horror movie Carrie. Over the weekend, reps for Megan Fox say that the actress is interested in playing the lead role stating that Fox is seeking to distance herself from her Transformers persona. Fox reportedly turned down the Wonder Woman role that eventually went to Adrienne Palicki and withdrew her name from future DC Comics movies that would call for the role.
Megan Fox, Lindsay Lohan
megan fox has a toe thumb haha
Lindsay Lohan as Carrie and Megan Fox as the badgirl antagonist that picks on Carrie and pushes her over the edge. That would totally work.I also agree with gryffon2 and Clancey70:Megan Fox as the hot badgirl/cheerleader and Lohan as "Carrie" sounds right on the money.Throw in a cameo appearance by Sissy Spacek and John Travolta from the original "Carrie" as Lohan's parents as a surprise twist.Just a thought.
What in the world made this happen?
Oh yeah, I agree with gryffon2: Fox would be a great bad girl if they could make her look convincingly young enough.
Look, if they want to remake Carrie, put the Coen Bros. back with Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit). They did a bang-up job on that remake and it would be much fun to see what they made of this. The other actresses mentioned would not fit the bill in either age or acting chops. Plus they may have to build a soundstage in rehab/prison for Lohan.
This just goes to show that there's no original thought in Hollywood anymore. I hated the remake of Halloween and I'm sure the remake of Carrie will be just as bad. What I think doesn't matter though, because they will go forward. I think they should cast an unknown with the right look and talent then it might be half way decent. I hope they'll keep Lohan and Fox away from this project.
The horror! The horror!
Megan Fox should be the bad girl who harrasses Carrie. That character is supposed to be popular only because she is attractive with no social skills and easy to dislike. Sounds like Megan Fox all the way.
Lindsay could pulloff the Carrie look if they let her go back to getting wasted and strung out for month, but she can't act and thus would kill the movie.
Quite frankly I would not recommend either. One because Carrie's character is made out to be geek-like and unattractive and secondly......... The idea of Lindsay Lohan in that role pulsates my skin!
I don't think I'd like to see either of them in a movie again for a long, long time.
Lindsay Lohan would be perfect as "Carrie".Megan Fox is wouldn't work the character's supposed to be somewhat of a "geek" I think her choice of roles and image would conflict with casting her in such a role.Lohan is an excellent actress and could handle the role with ease.It may be just the vehicle to put her back on top.
Why do they remake movies??? Does no one have any imagination anymore????
A Carrie remake is blasphemous anyway so there shouldn't be any remake done but seeing as how the movie makers don't want our opinions only are money then it's going to happen one way or another. So if I had to choose a Carrie then I would go with someone with talent and would fit a creepy role like this very well such as: Olga Kurylenko, Rose Byrne or perhaps even Gemma Arterton (yes I realize none of these women are high school looking but neither is Fox or Lohan).
Seems like a good fit, A Terrible idea with Terrible people in it. Well i must say, the planet must have terrible taste in women if Fox is "most attractive women on the planet". Lohan is much more attractive than that genaric looking person.
right...so overrated. i dont find her unattractive, but you aced it. not most attractive on the planet at all just a generic chick who looks like any other girl who dresses/acts slutty.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
