Hold onto your seats for this one, folks, because it's a doozy. According to E! News, Kristen Stewart has met with Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov on at least one occasion with regards to taking over for Angelina Jolie in a sequel to Wanted. No, Stewart wouldn't be playing the same character Jolie played in the original; instead, she'd be taking on the role of a "young, ass-kicking assassin in the Fraternity." One assumes that Stewart would also play the love interest of James McAvoy's character.
Twilight, Wanted 2, Angelina Jolie, Wanted, Kristen Stewart, Timur Bekmambetov
Angelina and Kristen are NOTHING alike!!! Angelina makes a perfect assassin, however Kristen Stewart is mouse-like! I don't buy it!
True they are nothing alike. But they don't need to be alike since it wouldn't be a replacement, she would play a different "younger" character.. Are you saying Kristen is "mouse-like" because of the character she played, Bella in Twilight? Because that was in Bella's character. Not Kristen's. Also Angie is 34 and Kristen is 20. Give her some time.
Am I missing something? Angelina Jolie died at the end of the first movie. How was she even considering this?
yes. the part of the article where it says she'd play a different role. that's what you're missing.
but why would anyone expect her to come back? same actor different character never works...

I haven't met a Twi-hater yet that has bothered to read the books. Those of us who loved the books, watch the movies simply as a "fix", nothing more. It's a connection to a story that we loved. I thought the first movie was awful, but you know what? I didn't care! I saw "Wanted" and thought it was awful, so what! These movies will never win an Oscar, but they don't need to. Fun, people, remember fun!!? And, it's just my opinion, but I think that Kristen Stewart's got "something". We haven't seen it yet, but I think over the next few years, having access to better scripts and better, more challenging directors will make the difference. Don't rule out the possibility of her walking across the Oscar stage to accept an award someday.
I agree - I think she has 'something' and she hasn't had the material to prove that yet. She seems to have a rebel/punk attitude waiting to come out. I also read the books and thought the movies didn't bring the same kind of magic or chemistry of the Bella and Edward (believe it or not).
I just want you to know that I have read all the books and still hate the Twilight saga. I like the premise, there aren't enough vamp/werewolf fics out there that don't demonize them. However, the writing was very subpar, the storyline ripped off, and the character choices teach teens to idealize relationships to the point that they loose sight of their self worth not to what it teaches girls about sex and birth control. Get over it and look at it a little more realistically; these popular series impact real people in more ways than just fandom.
I am a twilight hater, and I have read the books. 3 of them anyway. Crappy writing, with rediculously empty plot lines, with even more empty characters. It left my brain starved. I tried...I really tried, for my friends sake, a few years ago, there was no way I was reading the fourth one.
Smart move! It was awful! Lol. I'm not a hater. I've read the books and have seen the movies. But I agree with most people on this thread. She is not very good. All the blinking and heavy breathing just kills me. I don't know if I will be able to sit through 2(possibly 3) more movies with her in it.
hahaha the only reason I watch those movies with my friends is to have a good laugh, there were so many awesome jokes made with the last one. That and Lautner? is not horrible to look at....lol
Why waste your money then?
lol I borrowed the books and someone else paid for my movie ticket for the last one, I didn't see the first one in the theater.
Yea, I just couldn't not see anyone even remotely relating to Bella as a normal girl and I just wanted to punch most of the characters in the face, I was hoping to get more action and adventure out of the 2nd and 3rd book. Alas, it was very little.
Ironically, I am kind of interested in seeing the 3rd movie, simply because I enjoy the director's work and he his a lot darker than the previous ones. Though I am disappointed in the fact that the actor that played the chick vamp. that was after Bella b/c Edward killed her mate, is different. I liked the first actress, plus she was on Big Wolf on Campus!!!!! lol
Wow...got through three books...hated it that bad huh?
She in all likelihoods will never win an Oscar if we are all being honest with ourselves. She is an indie actress and after Twilight I forsee that her MAJOR motion picture career will die a swift and crushing death. She belongs in the Indie world where it is ok that you suck! Think about it! The girl has done over TWENTY movies and all but the Twilight ones are pretty much indies!
If Jolie couldn't make this movie a hit why would they waste their money and time on Stewart? She's a sleeper and would draw a small audience. The desire to see the Twilight Saga on the big screen is what drew the croud out NOT Stewart. If Wanted 2 wants an actress that doesn't need extensive training they should cast Mila Kunis. In Max Payne she delivered with an attitude and she's by far a more realistic actor than Kristen.
And have you seen the Book of Eli! Yes, Mila Kunis can deliver! And Kirsten Stewart is WORTHLESS!
I agree. Stewart has not shown any potential for real acting. Frankly both KS/RP acting is terrible in the Twilight series. I expected better from her in The Runaways but she remains soft and moist. There is no way she can do W2, even in a supporting role she would really, really need to stretch her acting chops. Mila Kunis would deliver the goods in spades. She is far more talented and emotes beautifully. See her in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, she steals every scene she is in.
Paalleeezzz - this is hardly a realistic substitute - none of the sex appeal and acting straight from the Mannequin School of Arts - do they think there will be Twilight hang over or are THEY just hung over?
I hope so to, if she takes the part it will show that she can do other things besides makin out with vampires and playing the disturbed emo teenager.
FIRST REACTION- "HAHAHAHAHA!!!!"
AFTER READING- "especially after Wanted 2 seemed dead in the water once Jolie passed", i dont know if "REPLACE" is the right word for the title. Especially when shes not even playing the same type of character, thank God. Just sayin though
HELL NO!!!! Kristen has the personality of a snail. She can't act if her life depended on it. She just got lucky picking up the part on Twilight. She sucks
ranked ur movie
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
