Will Cameron Stewart become a name as ubiquitous as his sister's? Mom Jules Stewart is hoping so, as her indie drama K-11 now includes older brother Cameron as the transgendered inmate at the center of the story. Kristen Stewart was rumored to be on board for mom's directorial debut, which also stars Goran Visnjic, D.B. Sweeney, and Portia Doubleday -- but the Twilight star is now out and Cameron is in for the part of Sledgehammer.
Visnjic will play the part of a young record producer who wakes after a (drug? alcohol?) binge to find himself in " … a special unit of L.A. County’s Men’s Central Jail that's dedicated to vulnerable prisoners, a place ruled by a viper transsexual." (Um, will someone please educate me on what a viper transsexual is?) Shooting is currently underway at an abandoned correctional facility for women in L.A. County.
While prison rape and violence may not have suited the image that K-stew is trying to maintain for her upcoming debut in Snow White and the Huntsman, momma Stewart's dark little movie could be the thing that puts the right kind of spotlight on big brother. Now we wait to see if the family resemblance is just about looks or acting ability too (which may or may not be a good thing, depending upon which camp you're in). Is K-11 pure nepotism or worth a watch?

Hopefully he has can act better than his sister.
What's wrong with her acting? Did you see The Runaways or Welcome to the Rileys? She CAN act. Just because she's associated with Twilight doesn't make her cheesy. Oh, and her performance in Welcome to the Rileys got her to the final 10 at last year's Best Supporting Actress nominees at the Academy Awards.
I have seen just about all of her movies. Her "acting" is the same as her personality during interviews. Every time it's Kristin Stewart playing Kristen Stewart - just with a different movie title. I keep waiting for that role where she isn't socially awkward when she speaks.
Funny you're saying that. She almost got an Academy Award nod with Welcome to the Rileys, last year ... I think she's an underrated actress, just like Andrew Garfield is an underrated actor.
Really, it doesn't matter if she got an Academy Award. The Awards are rip-offs, and Kristen Stewart has the most blandest personality of any actor. Now, it's sad that the brother has to get his acting start from his family, that get everything they want, because the daughter has a mediocre acting career.
How does anyone know she "almost" got a nomination for anything? Because you read it on the Internet? I don't buy the Academy Award bit. But, that's my opinion, and you have yours. We'll agree to disagree.
@lucdaboss - =)
Alright, cool you respect my opinion. Did you even see Welcome to the Rileys? That's not a bland performance ... You may want to look past her name.
Just thinking the same thing! Plot sounds intriguing, wouldn't mind checking out this flick.
It's not the actors and acresses that are cheesy in Twilight. It's the franchise itself. It's easy to mix up the two, I know.
So excited for MamaStew & Cameron!!
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
