If there’s one thing you should know about Kick-Ass and Wanted creator Mark Millar, it’s that the guy loves to talk. He’s a dude who has big ideas and isn’t afraid to share them – to the point where it’s sometimes hard to differentiate between what’s really going on and what Millar wishes was really going on. That said, he’s obviously closer to the whole Kick-Ass movie situation than we are (he wrote the comic the film was based on), and so I suppose we should believe him when he says the sequel has been greenlit and will go into production following director Matthew Vaughn’s commitment to helming X-Men: First Class.

To the people who say it was a horrible film, get over yourselves! Seriously, you obviously have a stick up your @$$ and need to take a chill pill. It was a great movie, and if you don't want a second then don't spend your dam* money to see it. The movie/comic is about making something of yourself and not being afraid. But instead of doing the usual geeky boy meets hot girl and boy wins girls heart while facing down rumors and stuff. They added a spin to it - yes it may be dumb, yes it may never ACTUALLY happen, but only because people like you tear those people who want to down and make them afraid to. If they want to watch a movie you think is stupid or tacky, let them. You don't want to see it then don't. it's a simple as that.

Kick *** was an amazing flick! Heck yes i would love a sequel! it was my second favorite film all year. (The first being Scott Pilgrim vs The World) I am totally onboard for another round with Kick *** and Hit Girl!!!!!!

I don't see how a sequel WOULDN'T work. What a lot of people fail to realize is the fact that Kick *** was actually a graphic novel before it was a movie, albeit not MUCH before so. The first run of the series definitely ended with a very large chunk of loose ends that have to be tied up, and it's successfully hooked my interest into the series. So, yes, I would absolutely see a sequel. The only issue I could foresee would be Hit Girl's odd ending. It didn't agree with the comic's ending at all, and I could see a few storyline plot holes forming if that isn't somehow cleared up.

Kick *** is my favorite movie, and I've seen a lot of movies! If they make a sequel, I would definitely go to a midnight premiere!

^^^^ dakota fanning. if they replaced Chloe Moretz with Dakota Fanning or anyone at all, I wouldn't ******* watch it. It was amazing and the cast needs to stay the same. At least Big Daddy and Hit Girl. They were the reason I watched it so many times. ******* amazing storyline.

I can see how some people can hate on this movie. it was a little childish but it was never boring. it had a nice blend of humor and action. I am almost 40 years old. i have seen allot of movies in my time. it takes a lot for me to go see a movie now since i am now more picky with what i spend my money on. About another kick *** movie. I say lets see it. i am not gonna hold my breath and hope that they make a better one. i am just gonna go see it and let it either disappoint me or surprise me. either way i wanna see it. Bring it on as Year1 said.
I am with you on this. My girl is an accountant who has little or no interest in hero movies, and even she really enjoyed the first one. That says something to me. That should say something to the filmakers as well. Bring it on!!!

Hell yes! Bring on the sequel! Kick-A** was fantastic and has great potential for multiple films that could introduce us to new heros and villains. I just don't know what they'll call it... More Kick-A**? Kick-A*ser? Bad-A**? I'm glad I don't have to title it. I would love to see it take place several years into the future though, while Mindy is a senior in high school and played by Dakota Fanning. I think that would rock. I don't have any other casting suggestions though.

OMG like it was really really cool! they should do another one and this time a hamster should do all the killing! Yes, the movie was completely unbelievable, but that was it's charm. That was the toughest kid I've seen in movies to date! If you're squeamish about a little kid getting her butt kicked and then kicking butt, get over it! It was cult classic stuff. Bring on the sequel and I'll watch it too. Oh, can they resurrect the dad? He was over the top, but it really fit the movie! Finally, don't go all mainline on the actors. It worked because the actors were nearly no names!

I wonder if a sequel would be as good. The best part of the movie was Hit Girl and I'm sure she'll have aged noticeable by the time they start working on a sequel. Then again that could be a good thing. It means they wouldn't be able to go back to the same well of little girl curses and fights like a grown man.

One of the best movies of the year! I'd go see a sequel! Boy, are there enough Haters out there? Don't you guys have jobs?

Okay, so the concept of Kick-*** was hilarious and awesome. The idea of an everyday person in the real world deciding to be a superhero sounds great. That being said Kick-*** only did so good for 2 reasons. 1) the trailers made it look like a much, MUCH, better movie than the actual piece of crap it was. It looked like a comedy film with some slapstick violence. 2.) After the movie was released and it was seen to be a steaming pile of ***** it continued to be seen because of the main characters outrageously hot girlfriend and the sex scenes. If they make a second one I wouldn't be surprised but I would laugh.

Ok i have watched this movie like 6 times on dvd and I do not recall one sex scene in it.
Ah, so you have either never actually seen the movie or mommy and daddy never told you about the birds and the bees. What the hell do you consider a sex scene? Did you get a bootleg version that somehow excludes all the sex scenes? That's about 10-15minutes of the movie so you got ripped off my friend.
No i recall Masturbating, pornography, and making out but never any sex.
Wow, watch it again. What do you consider a sex scene?

I loved it. It was a surprise, innovative in some areas, bold and a soundtrack that rocked the movie. Think it is better left alone.

I’m 31 year old male so this may have something to do with it, but kick *** was the best Movie I have seen all year. It was funny had good action and was kinda believable (well ex the little girl being such a bad ass). Anyone who gets offended by the language, I wish they could hang out with kids these days (not as an adult) and here how they actually talk. KICK *** II Would be awesome!!!! (but I doubt it would be as good as 1)

I don't buy anything mark millar says, the guy does have some good stories for his comics, but when it comes to movies he says a lot of stuff that never happens. Remember that superman movie he made this past year where superman lived long past all humans and he was the only one left on earth? oh you don't well that's another thing mark millar said was greenlite. I liked kick*** and think that people who got offended by a girl being beat up but were ok with the kid being stabbed and almost killed have issues. It's a movie and like any movie it's purpose was to tell a story and entertain you if you weren't entertained then clearly this genre of film is not for you.

"Kick-Ass" was the most tackiest, raunchiest, stupidest, over-the-top movie I've seen so far this year. Can't anyone in Hollywood come up with an intelligent and original idea anymore, instead of making unnecessary sequels to bad movies?
I have to disagree. I think it was quite original, capturing the essence of what it's like to be a geeked out teenager in this day and age. The aspirations, the hope, the random impulses to do something stupid, it's all quite enchanting.
I never said Kick-*** wasn't original. I was saying that the concept of movies making unnecessary sequels to movies that don't need them is getting monotonous. Also, Kick-*** was the farthest thing from enchanting. Movies about hope and aspirations, like Slumdog Millionaire and Milk, those are enchanting and great movies. Then you have Kick-Ass, the most ridiculous and insane superhero movie ever made.
I dissagree. I think Batman and Robin was the most ridiculous superhero movie. And there are a lot more stupid superhero movies than Kick Ass. It was a fun movie. I loved it. Im not saying it was the new Godfather but it was a good movie. Its about teen stupidity and Kicking Ass. Thats why it is not a horrible movie. And Kick *** wasnt raunchy at all. Milk was raunchy.
Any movie about stupidity does turn out to be stupid, and Milk did have class. Milk had good acting, a good story, and was well directed. Kick-*** didn't, but to each his own opinion.

"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."

"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
