In what has to be one of the oddest romantic pairings, A Little Bit of Heaven stars Kate Hudson as a terminally ill woman who falls in love with Gael Garcia Bernal. Sure ladies love GGB and this movie's making no attempts to entice guys to watch it, but still, you have to wonder why Bernal signed on for this movie. An excellent actor who generally picks solid material ranging from early stuff like Amores Perros and Y Tu Mama Tambien to more recent fare like Rudo y Cursi and Casa de Mi Padre which hits theaters tomorrow. Maybe there's more to this movie than meets the eye. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
Johnny Depp, Kate Hudson
I don't like remakes but I was looking forward to this.Right director right actor then I saw the trailer wrong script.Once again hollywood screwed us.
This looks like a full-blown comedy.
I would of liked to see more of a "serious" edge to DARK SHADOWS not so much on the edge humour (the Classic DS's is not funny..'it's full on dark haunting/Mystery)...but I must say this 1st DS's Trailer does have "chill-bite" & gripping darkness. And Johnny Depp looks amazing as Barnabas Collins but I don't recall ever Barnabas telling his Family he was a vampiere...'no he never did that, only a few knew like Dr. Hoffman and Willie obviously. Looking forward to the movie and seeing a more serious-haunting edge to this Classic.
..'The DS's trailer starts off awesome chilly-eerie darkness but when Barnabas arrives/comes (awakens) to the early '70's (which in fact his legendary arrival starts in the mid 60's not early 70's)...'it's all fun/humour spoofs from that point on it seems in this new DS's trailer. DARK SHADOWS is not meant to be humourous it's a very darkly Gothic/Supernatural feel and haunting Drama. I wish Director Tim Burton would of stuck with the Classic Scripts from DS's rich Story foundation to legendary Creator/Writter Dan CURTIS complex storylines. Yet, still I'll check it out and hope that Mystery-dark-chills & seriousness is "added" to it!!!
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
