The entire time A Good Day to Die Hard was in production we kept hearing how it would take on a darker tone than previous Die Hard movies. The first few trailers have sold the sizzle with a bunch of action clips mashed together, but today, we get a new full trailer which gives us a better idea of what the film might look like.
The action is still there as well as the usual in-jokes (McClane in the elevator, etc.), but right off the bat, you can tell this is going to be a much bleaker looking Die Hard.
Fans are also hoping for a return to the R-rating that accompanied the first three Die Hard movies. Everything in this trailer suggests the film is going to nail down a PG-13 rating, though a lot of the R-rating will hinge on McClane's salty language.
Check out the new trailer below and let us know if this new trailer has changed your outlook on this movie.
A Good Day to Die Hard hits theaters February 14.
Bruce Willis, Die Hard 5
Yippie kie-yay, Motherf***er! Bring it on ... I can't wait to see the newest movie in the Die Hard franchise.
Can I buy a ticket now? Can't wait!
I don't know, of course I'm gonna see it, but it seems that as unbelievable as the first 3 may have been they were more realistic and plauseably done than the last one and the looks of this one. That scene they show of him and his son falling through all that glass just looks ridiculous, and I'm sure they'll both get right up, laugh, crack a joke or two and walk away with only a few scratches. It looks they they are trying to Hollywoodize it more and more with big bangs and special effects. Don't get me wrong I'm sure I will probably enjoy for what it is but I need after this John Mclain needs to retire.
Oops, That should say I think he needs to retire
I'm a Die Hard fan too, however I only have one question, in the previous Die Hards, Bruce Willis' character didn't have a son he had a daughter, so uh where did this son come from or am I missing something? If so please explain
In the first Die Hard, they showed a picture of his family, Holly and the 2 kids Jack and Lucy, And Holly says " We have a spare room, the kids would love to see you" I don't think they really talked about the kids much after that except for the last Die Hard where they featured Lucy.
aaahhh ok...Thank you. I'm going to have to go back and watch all three again so I can be ready for the new one.
Glad to help
He's always had a boy, John "jack" mcclane. He was in the 1st and mentioned in the 4th by the cyber terrorist when threatening the family.
Bruce Willis can do no wrong when it comes to the Die Hard Franchise. I am looking forward to seeing the latest installment of Die Hard with his family playing key roles in the movie from what I can gather from the movie trailers. What a great Valentine's Day gift to myself when I purchase a ticket for this adventure set in Moscow! Thank you Bruce!
I love DIE HARD in all of its many forms; this one looks real good. I LOVE this trailer; a lot of action and Bruce Willis, what else do you need?
Can't wait to see it!!!! I love Bruce Wilis!! I'm a Die Hard fan:-)
Oops.....sorry, Bruce "Willis"
Viewing the previous comment you might think that but on a deeper human note that Mr. Willis brings to the screen a great big bit of encouragement to do the right thing and endurance for even life situations when you think you have just gone through a tough spot and think you should not have to go through any more then life bomb you with more tough stuff instead of giving up you handle it some more. Thanks Mr. Willis for your endurance (wish I had as much at least physically) would like to see another with daughter married to guy in last one and son in this one reunited as family, that could be awesome if written right but so far your writers directors are great! Thanks again for the entertainment!
How much more can John McClaine take?
He can take as much so long as the pile can roll in at the box office!
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
