John Carter is the kind of movie that every film geek is already looking forward to, but that's flying under the radar of most of the movie going public. That's not too surprising, really, considering Andrew Stanton's (Wall-E) first live-action film is an adaptation of a series of sci-fi stories that were first written nearly 100 years ago. Hopefully that will soon change, however, thanks to the first trailer for John Carter.
Taylor Kitsch, Willem Dafoe, John Carter
This fans fa you
I want to like, i want to be excited but i don't get whats going on.
omg i was totally like that too! :D we will just have to wait for a more detailed trailer i think!
If you'd like an idea of what this film is about, you can't go wrong by reading the Sci-Fi stories that the film is based on.
Right, John Carter of Mars. The cover he looks like a greek god or something not quite sure
Wow, this actually looks cool! I love that it's a very well established story in it's own right and that the director had a lot to work with - and it really looks like he did great just from this trailer! Plus, it's not one I've heard about so that'll definitely give it props in my eyes.
Also, that's actor Taylor Kitsch, who was in Friday Night Lights! He can act so I've nothing but high hopes for this one.
Good stuff, looks cool. Will definately check it out.It has a traditional Sci-Fi adventure vibe to it.
Looks interesting this Sci-fi film. I thought that was Gambit-Actor Taylor Kitsch and the young lady Lynn Collins that Co-stars with him-Kitsch in this movie JOHN CARTER was also in The X-MEN Origins: Wolverine (she was Wolverine girlfriend).
John Carter looks pretty interesting. Disney is getting better at making more adult-ish movies, Prince of Persia was horrible, but the last Pirates movie definitely made up for the horrible 2nd and 3rd film. Plus I like the guy who will be playing John Carter not only because he played Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but he is also Emile Hirsche's brother.
Andrew Stanton is a great director. Whenever you see him talking about his films, It's clear that he's spent a great deal of time on character development and plot while working on them. This trailer already looks better than every Pirates of the Carribean movie combined, so that's a good start for another great film from him. Oh yeah: He's also a certified Sci-Fi geek!
Is Peter Gabriel a fan of Andrew Stanton or is it the other way around? Either way Gabriel's song played very well in this trailer. And the trailer looks pretty good. It’s great to see a trailer instead of just reading about this movie. I'm much more interested now there is a trailer for me to sink my eyes into.
its actually originally an arcade fire song
Yeah I know; it’s on Peter Gabriel's "Scratch My Back" album of nothing but covers of other artist's songs. I contemplated replying to my own post rephrasing the whole "[...] Gabriel’s song [...]" portion to reflect the fact it was his cover of a song however I didn't think that was needed. I suppose I guessed wrong.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
