Ever since Matt Damon decided he wanted to do other things with his life that didn't involve playing Jason Bourne, fans of the franchise have pretty much been apathetic to the upcoming stand-alone spin off starring Jeremy Renner. Not much was known about the fourth Bourne flick other than Tony Gilroy, who penned the first three Bourne movies, would return to direct a script he wrote.

Renner has come far in proving himself as an actor,so i believe he is capable as an addition to the Bourne franchise. I just plain like Matt Damon better. Will still see it,and am very excited to hear that his character has a chance to return.

Renner is pretty good, not bad at all. I remember watching him in the 2003 film "SWAT". So he's got some action up his sleeve. Overall, pretty excited. Sad that Damon left, but I guess we'll have to go on without him.

I'm a fan of Renner's, so I'm glad he's going to be in this franchise as opposed to some kid they could have gotten. Also who knows, maybe we'll get a Damon cameo? Wishful thinking on my part. ^_^

I wish I had a dollar for every time I thought a movie would suck with, or without a particular actor in the lead role. (Michael Keaton as the first Batman was a biggie.) I'm usually pleasantly surprised, however, and the film turns out great, if not better with the new actor. I think it's important to give artistic license to filmmakers, and hold criticism for the finished product. After all, how many of us saw Matt Damon as an action star prior to the "Bourne" series?

Jeremy Renner is a great actor and I'll certainly be giving this new addition to the Bourne Series a closer look before making any judgements as to the quality without Matt Damon. Yes, I will miss him, but the projected cast definitely warrants my time!

Renner is a great actor and can do an awesome action movie, but let's face it Damon is Bourne so I don't like fact that Damon won't be coming back, I'll still see the film though so I'm not as stubborn as a lot of the bourne fans.

I'll see how well Renner is as an actor in "The Avengers". I did like him in "The Hurt Locker" though. It'll be hard to deal with someone other than Matt Damon in a Bourne movie.

You can also see him in The Town.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
"Squirrel!"
