Rumors circled the internet this week claiming that The Twilight: Eclipse was having so much trouble in post-production that Summit Entertainment had actually reached out to New Moon director Chris Weitz and even Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke with news that they may need one or both to return to the world of Twilight to help re-shoot a few critical scenes. Not only that, but word was David Slade was a nightmare after delivering a cut that wasn't up to par; perhaps one that was a little too dark for Summit. (Hey, not for nothing, but that's what you get when you bring on a straight genre director whose last film featured nasty, gruesome vampires eating their way through an Alaskan down.)
huge twilight fan
well hoping it didnt go to much off the path after all if you read the books then you no there is going to be very much intense action going on... there should be some blood and violence in the movie.... hoping this movie keeps to the book and doesnt skip some of the main key points that were in the book... hoping to see the snow storm scene when edward and jacob pretty much get into each others heads to try and understand each other... that leads into the fight with the wolfs, vampires, and the new borns and victoria... hopefully they kept in the scene with edward and seth fighting with one of the newborns and victoria and edward takes on victoria and kills her by pulling her head off
jeje I also will like to see in the snow storm scene the comedy about edward jealous of jacob heat. I hope they don't forget Bella and jacob kiss, when she realize her true feelings
I hope this TWILIGHT Trilogy will be a Throat gripper one that is darkly-chilly through and through...'And not clingy Romantic that drives me crazy but powerfully frightening/with touches of enchantment: for I do relized it is a Vampire Romance Saga(s). Just make it more haunting, potent with ice-bites! Scary....'it's time EDWARD show his no-nonsense dark side.
I am tired of people thinking this is a Disney movie if blood is needed the do it!. Just do the movie as the book, there is a reason of why there's lots of fans before the movie comes out(they read the book) dig -dig does this ring a bell! Also I hope a see passion in Breaking Dawn. What do you think? I believe F%^$ the PG 13 do R.
i totally agree if parents have a problem with it then don take your kids to see it
it would be very very much great if they would just stick to the book and not leave out the main key points... and please dont bring back catherine... dont get me wrong twilight was good but it was way off basis with the book... we need to see more action like in the book
thank you finally a reader
Eclipse is my favorite book of the series. So I am very excited for it. I thought New Moon was a great improvement but I liked the way the characters looked in Twilight better. Also Bryce is just too innocent looking to be Victoria. I would have rather they open the movie later than to cast a new person for the role. Lefevre was actually intimidating, I wish they had kept her.
Wewee!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldve had a heart attack if anything postponed my movie
bite me, no i might like that to much . just with the other movies they had ticks out by now.and I have read all the books thank you very much.
who has been able to buy tickets yet ? cause in utah county utah , not one place has any on sale yet. are we sure the movie is coming out on June 30 th ? It's a wed ,that makes little sence. can anyone answer my questions
What amazing dark fantasy books are you referring to?
It amazes me how many who say they hate the books and films, always have something to say! (Negative) If you hate it so much, don't check every blog regarding it.
I don't "hate" the books and films. Any fiction that encourages this poorly educated country to read books is an amazing thing. Americans do not read enough, nor do they have a good grasp of the English language or basic storytelling ability. Meyer has more than most of you, but that doesn't mean she's good.
It's frustrating to read so many other strong plot lines and archetypes in amazing dark fantasy books that no one has ever heard of, and then you see crap like Twilight hit the box office and a terrible author like S. Meyer makes a billion dollars. We don't check the blogs to slam Twilight. We check the blogs to inform you that there are better things out in the world than sparkly vampires.
Could you guys just back off per chance?
I have read the books 5 times in the last 9 months. (I get something new out of them everytime I read them.) Eclipse should not be a blood bath, but there is some great fighting and the part with Bree and Jane should be pretty stomach turning without , of course , the blood. Breaking Dawn was and still is my favorite. Heard they are gonna make it into two movies. Probably end the first of the two with jacob coming downstairs intending to wreak havoc on all, and sees the "Baby". But, getting off track here, if there is any movie that will be BLOODY/GORRY - it should be the first of Breaking Dawn. Read the book again, or for the first time and you'll see what I mean!!!! Of course, no movie EVER will be able to replace your own imagination.
Well, if they say this is the best of them all, so far, then we can expect something really neat, as New Moon was good enough to be closest to the book.
Will have to see how this goes....the books were excellent. Actually read them 3 times but was very disappointed with New Moon and the way it ended....there wasn't much of the imagination past onto the movie from the book, so many things left out. As for the ending of New Moon, it certainly could have been done much better!
I actually liked Twilight better, it was true to the book , had great "Muse"ic , and I liked the all of the characters in it. I think is was a success for Catherine Hardwicke too. I would be interested in checking out her other movies now.
Eclipse needs to be edgier, darker, and with a lot more action-for this reason i think Slade was a good choice...i am a fan of the books (for the most part) but when i go to the movies i want to be ENTERTAINED!! Sadly, this was not the case with Twilight. New Moon was a vast improvement (thank goodness they ditched Catherine Hardwicke and went with Chris Weitz!) And since Eclipse was my favorite of the series (I'm still trying to forget the train wreck that is Breaking Dawn) I have high hopes for this movie! June 30th can not come soon enough! as far as tickets going on sale, you should check with your local theater-some chains may start selling tickets before others-at least that was the case with New Moon.
i like both! twilight and new moon at first i didn't like new moon but it grew on me. I 'm leaning more towards twilight b/c edward is darker in the movie than in the book which i liked but he (robert pattinson) got the charcter down more in new moon even though he was barely in it.
thay realy can't make it bloody when the vampires die thay ar lik stown
I say go dark baby! Why not?just stick to the book, thats what the fans want.
I just hope that Eclipse is not a total downer like Twilight was. I was all geared up to see the book come to life and too much was changed. Hopefully, this will not be the case. New Moon was much better.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
