Robert Pattinson, The Hunger Games, Catching Fire
The Hunger Games
NO! HELL NO! HE'S A BAD ACTOR AND WOULD MAKE THIS MOVIE BAD!
As for the statement a franchise that doesn't need it. I totally disagree. Leaving out important characters and changing entire story lines was a big flaw for the first movie. I don't want to see Rob in this series though. I don't think he fits the part.
I totally agree.
The entire time I was reading the books I pictured Michael Fassbender as Finnick. He has the sort of swimmer build and the sea colored eyes. Not to mention he's a fantastic actor. This is my dream senario btw.
People are making some really good suggestions for Finnick Odair. Finnick is such a dynamic, full of life, sexy character and Pattinson is not that at all. A handsome and athletic actor is needed for this part. The movie doesn't need Pattinson, but definitely needs another, better looking actor the part of Finnick. We definitely need an actor with those glowing, green eyes!
What about a different Twilight Vet - - say Cam Gigandet? Now he would make a great Finnick. If not him what about Chris Evans (Captain America) or Jensen Ackles from Days of our Lives. There are so many more "physically" appealing people because I dont think RPatt could pull that portion of it off. I think he could do well in the role but I think one of these others would be better and given their age would be great that they are slightly older
I'm not digging the choice of Chris Evans myself but Cam Gigandet would be awesome.
I also wouldn't mind Richard Madden aka Robb Stark of Game of Thrones.
Awesome too! I love Game of Thrones and especially his character.
Agreed that Ackles would be a great fit! He's a good age, and VERY easy on the eyes!!
This is the most horrible news I could imagine!!! How about Zac Efron or Willam Levy sans accent ;D
Sorry Fandango has been screwing up today putting my replies on the wrong comments.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO never no! pleases God no. i love the books and the way they portrayed did Hunger Games in the movie. Don't ruin it. :(
He's a good actor, but no...he is not a good match for the Finnick character. I do not picture him for Finnick at all. I would think more along the lines of the guy who played Thor. Which I think is the actor for Gale's real life brother.
Garrett Hedlund- Heck yeah! He was excellent in Four Brothers
Please, please, please DON'T let this happen! Worst decision ever!!! They even say in the article that he's not right for the part AT ALL! Pretty sure that's your answer...Movie would be RUINED!!!!
NO NO NO NO NO. It would be SO AWFUL. Chris Hemsworth would also be awful for the part - whoever thought that was a good idea. They need someone who HAS NOT played in a series - so NO for Kellan Lutz. That'd be like asking Tom Felton to play Finnick - It will not work! You need an up and coming actor - someone like josh hutcherson & jennifer lawrence. That's why it's such a good movie!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! NOOO! NO! NO! HELL NO! I will be pissed if they cast Robert Pattinson as Finnick! He is ALL wrong for the role! Finnick is TAN from the sun in his fishing district, is very strong to hurl tridents and swim, is charming and funny, has bronze hair, and sea-green eyes and MUST look older than KATNISS. Jennifer Lawrence is 21 and Finnick must look older than that, have that dark tan complexion, have bronze hair (which is a light brown) be buff and strong, and be oozing charm and wit to make the girls and women sigh and make men want to be him! They'd be better off casting a handsome and charming lifeguard than Robert Pattinson.
GARRETT HEDLUND = FINNICK ODAIR.
NO! Pattinson is not the Finnick type at all...
Had him as the Roberto in 50 of Shades of Grey . He seems a bit old too be playing the part mentioned .
As much as I'm a Rob fan, I just don't think that he's right for this role. If there was anyone from the saga that they should cast as Finnick Odair, I think it would be Kellan Lutz. He's a better fit for the role than Rob.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
