Only a few days after Deadline Hollywood reported that it was a done deal and Summit Entertainment would be filming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in two parts comes word that none of the main actors (Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner) have signed on to a fifth film, and the studio is not yet ready to make a decision on whether or not they'll be splitting up the final installment in the Twilight franchise.
Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Breaking Dawn
PLEASE DO a 5th Film! There is Too Much subject matter in Breaking Dawn to fit in into one Film!
I say commit...and give the fans what they want...when it's over...it's over. Summit and all involved will reap the benefits of committing to a 5th film.
I also agree with Ladyed12 ! If people sat through Titanic and Green MIle I would totally sit through a 4 hr movie ! I mean maybe a 30 min break in between to go potty =)
For sure 2 films.. If they make only one 1 a lot of the story would be left out and disappoint fans ! Its too long of a book with a lot of detail.. 2 films NO 3-D!!! WTH?
Definately, split Breaking Dawn into two movies and into 3D, wow. It would also abe great if Stephanie Meyer would finish the 5th book and make a movie of it. At my house, grandma, daughter and grandaughter all love the movies/characters. We all love Edward, Jacob, Bella and the rest of the vampire and warewolf clans. Great stories that stimulate the imagination. Peace!
Definetly needs to be in 2 movies! Gives people more to look forward to AND it will get more out of it(more of the books) With all the money the movies bring in they should be able to pay the actors and actresses! :)
With all of the wolves and vampires running, jumping, hunting, swinging through trees, the woods, the meadows - come on, 3 D would be beautiful. Didn't you see Avatar in 3D? It wasn't the action scenes that were beautiful, it was the scenery - you felt like you were there. I'd love to be there on the beach on Isle Esme, swimming with the porpoises with Bella. And what about the effects of Bella's shield? 3D would be awesome. Have some imagination! It's not all Disney 3D anymore. Embrace the future!
I would gladly sit through a 3-4hr movie. I agree that BD had a lot of fluff. If it is two movies, I kinda think it will be boring!
NO 3D that is the WORST IDEA EVER
all i ask of the final film is for it to PLEASE not be in 3D!!!!! it'll ruin the aspect of the movie because it doesnt need to be in 3D!
Definitely 2 movies ... there's so much that happens in BD that it is natural to expect 2 movies, and it really was written to allow a split off after the Honeymoon when she tells Rosalie she's pregnant.
I have absolutely no idea why they want to split this into 2 films. The book was entirely too long and was my least favorite. Cut out all the self-indulgent fluff and make it 1 movie.
Split and pay...its just more of Edward and Bella so bring it onnnnn!
I could never get tired of this series or the movies. In fact why don't they make every book into two movies so we'll have more years to watch the series. What will we do when it's done? Somebody needs to offer Stephanie Meyers some serious money so she will rethink her decision not to publish more books. I understand the issue of plagiarism but it's time to move on and make your fans happy!
Oops: The only logical place I can see them splitting the movie is right after Alice & Jasper leave. But I still think that's it too much plot for one movie.
I think realistically the only way to fit in the entire line is to split the book into two movies. The problem is 1) where to end the first movie and 2) the directors for both movies need to be the same, and they seem to have a problem holding onto directors.

i say split the movie but if they r having problems we could b looking at a 3 hr movie like lord of the rings.
They can make it a 2 disc movie, make it longer than 2 hrs and it still be considered just 1 film. Kinda like Pearl Harbor and Titanic and I know there have been other movies that are longer than 90 minutes but are just one movie too. There is definately too much in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn both to fit into 90 minutes but if the actors aren't willing to do more then they might as well not make anymore at all. Changing the main characters would ruin the film versions of the Saga completely. The story line is the main thing, but the actors help to make the films what they are. In a nutshell..If they cant just make them longer 2 disc but 1 film then don't even finish at all. Unless the original main cast will go ahead and do 2 films each.
I think that if Summit can try doing Breaking Dawn into 1 movie, if it impossible then spilt it up into 2 movies. Summit can pay for 2 movies, I think. Also I also would like to say that unlike New Moon, Breaking Dawn is the end of the twilight saga, and I think and I believe that every twilight fan will agree with me if this going to be the best movie of them all then it needs to be mind blowing and exciting as the book. Summit needs to stay true to the fans, as well have done with Twilight, New Moon, and soon Eclispe. I hope that Breaking Dawn, will be as wonderful as the book.
Well since the contracts for them to do a fifth film were just signed, I think the subject is moot :)
Stephanie Meyers put so much imagination and care into her books that it was dissappointing to see how much was left out in the first 2 movies. With Breaking Dawn being the finale of the series (Unfortuately so - Mrs. Meyers, please continue Midnight Sun), I think it is owed to the fans who have invested so much of themselves (and money) into the Twilight Fandom to streatch out the last movie. To capture all of the details and to develop the characters that are introduced in the last book would only do justice to the story. The book reads like a movie. Any producer could have a gold mine on their hands if they stuck to this story and made it into 2 movies. Keep it the way it was meant to be and make 2 movies. Fortheloveoftwilight.com
I agree whole heartly. I couldn't wait for New Moon hoping it was better than Twilight! I haven't given one thought to Eclipse because it's a sure bet it won't be made right/according to the book either. Big Let Down For Me. Music To
old Twilight fan
I think the music stinks, for the most part. Wish they'd do something different with it to make it a bit more like what's going on in the movie!!
The book would certainly support two films, especially if they did it justice and quit cutting important parts out. It may be too late for that in some ways, but 3D? Why 3D? That is really strange, it is a love story not an action film. I know that is the direction that it has gone presumably to involve the male audience, but that should not be the focus. Please screen writers, go back and read the books!
Two films. If they make both at the same time, and only have at the max a three month space between, I could wait for that, but yea no 9 month or year wait for part two, it would not be worth putting myself through the pain of the wait. I would wait until right before the second part and rent the video, see part 1 and then go see part two. But, just like Harry Potter, if we had to wait so long between movies, get bored with the idea and loose interest. I love the series but let's be realistic, you know what I mean.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
