Bryce Dallas Howard, The Help
2011 Summer Movies
Ms. Viola Davis was great in this role she will go down in movie history!
Allison Janney! She is great in every role I have seen her in. She makes me laugh. She is relatable. I loved her in Hairspray!
Viola Davis.....can anyone say..OSCAR!!!!!
Jessica Chastain! I love her, she's just so over the top bubbly and naive; she plays it well!
It's hard to decide! I love Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard, but I think I'll go with Viola Davis. Her performance was amazing and really drove the movie. She was both serious and funny when called for.
"The Help" ,was the Best movie I have seen in years! If you want to laugh, cry , feel good and bad all in the same couple of hours,"The Help" is your movie! I went to see it with my in-laws ,husband and daughter.I don't think even one of us had a dry eye in many of the touching scenes. It is heart-breaking in several scenes but you are lifted to the highest heights by the outstanding acting by the main characters.I am in awe of Emma Stone ,ever since I saw her performance in "Easy A" I have liked her.It is hard not to like her she is that kind of person.
I do not want to give any of the movie away but I can tell you that you will NOT be dissapointed .It is a "Winner" because of the story ,the acting and the feeling you have after leaving
Sissy Spacek because she brought a sense of humor to the film all her own. Without Spacek, we still would have cried tears of joy/sadness during select scenes, but not tears of laughter. She brings an element of humor to a time of hatred and despair. Her acting talents and her character prove that even in the darkest times of history, there are always those how shine a bright light to cheer up others.
Viola Davis! She is excellent in the movie and a great person. I hope to see her in more movies.
Emma Stone. She's fun/funny, cute and sassy without being a *****.
Emma Ston is she to funny you gave to love her!
wow I really can't type, lol. Emma Stone and you have to love her!! It's friday so please forgive me.
I love Emma Stone.. in everything i have seen her in she is funny! Loved her in house bunny, zombiland, and she was quirky in Easy A.. Want to see this movie and also see her in the new spiderman.. Kristen Dunst was getting on my nerves..
This is an excellent movie. It kept me weeping, laughing and humbly sane. Finally, a "Movie With Substance" GREAT - THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite actress is Viola Davis. She has the rare quality of being able to emote profound feelings without talking and making the lines come alive with realism. I loved her in Antoine Fisher. Even though her part was small, I'm still affected by her scene. I also loved her in Doubt. She held her own and then some with Meryl Streep. I have nothing but respect for her ability.
Watched it twice. Great movie.
Viola Davis portrays my favorite character, Aibileen Clark. Aibileen had raised 17 children during her many years of being a maid, even after losing her only son.
Viola's portrayal of Aibeleen was so powerful She was an upstanding and proud woman who showered the children she raised with love. What a powerful gift she gave to Mae Mobley! To tell that child to repeat, "You is kind, you is smart, you is important!" All children need to know that they are important. It broke my heart when Viola was forced to leave Mae Mobley behind and when Mae Mobley was holding Viola's face and telling her that Viola was her real momma. Aibileen was the reason that so many of the women’s voices were heard. She just wanted to be seen and to be treated with kindness.
I have already seen the movie twice and will probably watch it again before it leaves the theatres. It is fabulous movie with a powerful message! I see OSCAR for best picture for THE HELP!
I love Emma Stone, she is a versatile hillarious young actress. I think she's going to become an actress on par with Reese Witherspoon and Julia Roberts in the future.
I was so excited to see this book made into a movie, I recently read the book with no idea! Despite my pick for Emma Stone as my favorite actress, Skeeter was not my favorite character in the book at all - I was completely struck by Aibileen.
I really like Emma Stone she is such a versatile actress and she doesn't let the fame go to her head
Viola Davis is my favorite actress from The Help. Her overall performance is Oscar worthy and the physical mannerisms that she displayed helped to elevate her work even more.
Emma Stone she just seems very real and not your typical young Hollywood actress.
My favorite is Emma Stone because she is very unique and not like every other hollywood actress.
Sissy Spacek is one of my favorite actresses. She always becomes the character she is portraying.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
