Bryce Dallas Howard, The Help
2011 Summer Movies
Emma Stone... she seems SO down to earth & sincere. I like her a lot. =)
Octavia Spencer - She brought incredible humor to her role.
Viola Davis...powerful performance!
I was very impressed and touched after reading this book last year, so when I heard there was going to be a film version of the book I was excited! I dragged 3 friends with me to see it on opening day and we all were sniffling at the end because it was such a heartwarming sweet movie. I loved Octavia Spencer the most! She easily stole the movie with her role! I can't wait to get this movie on DVD.
I just love Emma Stone. She is a great comedic actress which shows not only on her movie performances, but television as well. I always look forward to roles..
Octovia Spencer !
Viola Davis...really hit Aibileen dead on!!!
Emma Stone is fabulous! She adapts to every role she takes and really puts her heart and soul into it!
My favorite Actress is Viola Davis, a very talented actress, I also liked the movie. Homage to my great/grandmother. It brought back memories.
Octavia Spencer - make us laugh!
Such a talented cast makes it hard to pick just one, but I would have to go with Alison Janney. Her talent at portraying both the dramatic and comedic makes her one of the most enjoyable female actors today. I always chuckle at the dentist as I think of her playing CJ Craig in WEST WING and how she came back numb after a root canal.
My favorite character from The Help was Jessica Chastain as Celia. She did an incredible job portraying Celia. I loved that Celia was just a normal girl desperately trying to fit in with the "Not so normal, crazy" white women.
She was a fearless, hard worker, and cared deeply for those she loved. She never gave up trying to make the other women like her, although truth be told, she was the prettiest in town.
I think Emma Stone. I just love her range of abilities and she fairly new to Hollywood and not letting it ruin her ;-)
Emma Stone because I thought she play the role spot on!
Emma Stone is fabulous! She can play many different roles and really puts her heart and soul into it!
Sissy Spacek. is always good.
My favorite actress in this movie is Emma Stone! I've seen her in so many roles that portray silly teenagers so it was refreshing to see her expand her career!
Emma Stone.... she is funny and interesting to look at ... she will be big soon.
Octavia Spencer's character Minny was by far my favorite. Her character was strong yet weak; so many woman have that strong sense of self to everyone else but at home it is a different story. Her character was brazen and gentle all at the same time. To finally get up the strength to leave her relationship is something many women will be able to identify with. I loved this movie so much because it told each story of each main character and by the end I was not left hanging.
love all the actresses, but, especially sissy spacek!!! she has been in movies since i was a little girl!!! she is fantastic!!!
Sissy Spacek because she is great in any movie.
Bryce Dallas Howard....has to take the cake...literally here...bc I don't know how she being so MEAN and brutal, yet suffering such humiliation without a snicker during the funniest scenes. I am SOOO hoping when the video comes out, that out-takes will be shown, bc I know there had to be MANY times when ALL of the actresses just wanted to LAUGH and CRY...but laughter...yeah...she HAD to hold it in....AT LEAST ONE TIME, right, ladies??????????
Favorite actress is Emma Stone because she is the next genertion of actors,
Viola Davis....she is spot on w/her acting.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
