And so the end is here. A magical farewell to a franchise that brightened and became a part of life for millions of people worldwide, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 has finally arrived and has pulled in $43.2 million in domestic box office receipts from midnight and early morning screenings around the country.
Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
I absolutely LOVED this movie. I have been to other midnight showings but I This was the first time that I actually wait in line for the movie. But it was totally and completely worth it! I don't think that anybody but honest-to-god true Harry potter fans like myself would understand how much the movie means to me and how flippin excited I was to see the movie. Everytime that a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 commercial or anything Harry Potter related would come out on TV, I would start hyperventilating. when I watched the London Premiere I cries. I grew up with Harry, Ron, Hermione and these books, and so has the rest of my generation. These books and movies are a part of our lives. I saw it in IMAX 3D and it was pretty good!
I was there last night in Milpitas, CA. I can easily see this movie breaking records across this country and the world. If it were any movie that could do this it would be Harry Potter because this series has paralleled the growth that the youth of today has gone through and hence makes it so easy to identify with. But not only for the youth, kids and adults love it to which shows just how magical Harry Potter is even to a diverse audience. If I had enough money right now I would see this movie again and again while still in theater; even though I cannot afford to do this right now, I know many out there will and Deathly Hollows Part 2 will break records.
While I've never been a big fan of the movies, I am obsessed with the books. I chose to wait six hours in line for the midnight show because I wanted to watch the movie with the best possible crowd. It's an audience of true fans who've come, often with stunning costumes and props, to watch their favorite storybook come to life on screen. It was a crowd that appreciated the costume I'd put together and was just as excited as I was. They respect the movie and respond well because they are often the people who most want to see it. There is no better audience to share the final installment of the series with.
I can definitely see Deathly Hallows steadily climbing to the top and shattering all the records. In fact, I hope it does.
I WAS!!! I dressed up as Rowena Ravenclaw, got my 2 5 Hour Energies and lawn chairs, and camped out starting at 1pm. Nothing will ever top Hallows!
Ha I remember the very first time I watched Harry Potter was in the third grade and they already had the first two out but ever since then I was hooked I have been too every premier for Harry Potter since the Goblet of Fire and knowing that that was the final Harry Potter ever made it hurts knowing how much I have grown up and same with the movies. I didn't cry or anything when I say the final part but after the movie I just don't know what else there will be in my life as exciting as Harry Potter. I will miss it and the childhood that grew up with the phenomenon Harry Potter.
Went to the midnight showing. I was expecting an amazing show and it didn't let me down. I cried for all the deaths of some of the characters and the end of the series. Last night ended up being one of the best nights of my life, and I wouldn't have traded it for anything. I will miss the Harry Potter gang, but they will live on in my heart, and the hearts of all those who waited hours in line to watch it.
My friends and I got to the MJR Sterling Heights theater in Michigan 7 hours early for the midnight showing. We were in line at five pm. one of the first :). The movie was amazing. I cried, laughed, and cried some more. Harry Potter has been a part of my life for over half of my life (I'm 18). It will be missed. More than anything. I'm heartbroken to see it end. But at the same time, I'm happy. It was an epic book series and an amazing movie series. One of the greatest. It will be remembered, forever.
Oh yeah this movie was EPIC! it had thrills tears laughter and cheers!!!! It was most defiantly the best of the series and i intend to watch it again and again and again!!!! This movie will probably have over 200 Million dollars by Sunday night at the rate it is going now possibly even near 300 Million!!!! Hope that it does. This movie deserves to be number one on the charts for weeks to come!!!!
