A thneed is a thing that everyone needs.--we all know that!!!!!
A theed is something you need
A thneed is a teeny-tiny, teensy-weensy little girl, with beautiful pink wings and hair like cotton candy. She is quite shy, however, and to spot a thneed is an omen of wonderful luck for the rest of your life! No one has ever caught a thneed-- they seem to be able to magically disappear at any moment. She spends her day riding her pet bee, helping to pollinate flowers and caring for all of the bees in the hive.
A thneed is the true definition of the imagination. It can be anything you can imagine it to be , a hat one moment , a scarf the next because it changes with your imagination and that is one thing that hopefully is constantly changing as well.
a multi-purpose object knitted from the tufts of the truffula tree
The THING made out of the Truffula tuft which can be used as a sock, glove, hat, carpet, pillows, sheets, curtains, covers for bicycle seats.
A Thneed is that fluttery shape you see out of corner of your eye..you turn around and nothing is there...but is that true? No...it was a thneed...
It's a talking, skinny as a thread, weed, that became skinny when all the trees were cut down. They depend on and help the Lorax in his quest to save and replant the Truffulla trees.
They were once very large weeds that grew around the Truffulla trees, but as the trees were cut down they became very skinny.
Thneed's used to talk to the roots of the Truffulla trees (everyone knows talking to plants helps them to grow) and together they were once plentiful, big and strong.
A giant with green lips and ears !!
Its quite obvious and right in the name. A thneed is the THing you NEED.
A thneed is a small creature that jumps through the tree's, that is there when ever you need.
When I have a code (cold), I have to thneed (sneeze).
A scarf, bag, blanket, wrap, umbrella, hat, mop, towel, hammock, swing, jacket, sweater, baby wrap, cradle, dress, shirt, pants, and so much more.
A Thneed's a Fine-Something-That-All-People-Need!
It's a shirt. It's a sock. It's a glove. It's a hat.
But it has OTHER uses. Yes, far beyond that.
You can use it for carpets. For pillows! For sheets!
Or curtains! Or covers for bicycle seats!"
A hat, a scarf, or to wipe up some dirt-you could possibly even wear it as a shirt!
A Thneed is whatever you can imagine or want to imagine it is! Like the room or requirement!
