The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
I really want to start reading these books. They seem absolutely intriguing and from what people have told me, I absolutely can't wait! :D
The second book and the second film are the best so far...
Completely new to the books & movies
The buzz around this series has caught my interest. I have not had the opportunity to read any of the books or see the movie, but it would be nice to win this prize package. Good Luck to all!
It's a hard Choice, but I think The Girl WHo Kicked the Hornet's Nest is my fave.
To be honest I've only just recently heard of The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo movie.I didn't know that they were also books.I hope to win this contest so I can watch and read the whole trilogy.
I just got back from watching The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. I loved that movie so much. It brought the whole series to end perfectly. There wasn't any questions left unanswered. Salander is pretty funny in it. I love when she teases the prosecuter.
The Girl w/ The Dragon Tattoo; I went to see it because I heard hype about it, while knowing nothing about it. I was enthralled in the movie w/out caring about the subtitles. It was the first time a foreign film hooked me. And I also don't get that in to most new mystery movies, but this one kept me guessing with each twist. Plus seeing Noomi Rapace as a blonde was pretty nice!
definitely Dragon Tattoo because the Vanger fam was so EVIL! loved those villains. I tore up both the first two and am about to start the third book! waiting on my husband to read them before we watch the movies!
Let me win so I can win and pick a favorite!
My favorite is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
My favorite movie, so far, is The Girl Who Played With Fire. My favorite book is The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.
tattoo cause it was the beginning.
Iron Man 2, definately.
I liked the first book, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, the most. I really loved the whole story about the missing grand-daughter...and how it is later revealed that there is a connection between her disappearance and some murdered girls over a 20 year period. And the end, where Blomquist is nearly killed by the serial killer...brilliant!
My favorite was the Dragon Tattoo because it was the first one and had the best character development.
Great contest, thanks!
I'm so sorry there will only be these three books. Larrson really had a knack for creating unusual and interesting characters. I believe I would have to say that Played With Fire was my favorite. I guess I really just like cat and mouse mysteries. Can't say that I'm very excited about the casting for the English remakes. I really like things just as they are.
the girl with the dragon tatoo was my favorite movie...it was more exciting and the ending was more satisfying, whereas the girl who played with fire's ending just left you hanging and was unsatisfying.
I have been intrigued by the movies and have considered buying them, winning them would be neat and as I have not yet read the books, declaring a favorite seems unwise.
I got hooked from the beginning thanks to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" so that's where all the credit goes - my favorite for sure!
My favorite is the Dragon Tattoo b/c it was Noomi's first and strongest performance so far.
Of the three, I believe "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" had the most depth and was the cleanest. The other two both had more political leanings. But how can you pick one of three Gems?
Haven't read any of the books. Have seen the 1st two movies. The unlikely pairing of the lead characters in TGWTDT is what hooked me along with the suspense, action and of course the great acting. Can't wait to see the 3rd movie. Afterwards, I will probably sit down and read all 3 books.
This is not an easy choice - but I would probably go with the first - it laid the groundwork-introduced the characters - and made me say why do we need an american version - this was as perfect as you could get.
The first book totally got me hooked
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
