While George Lucas continues to figure out how to get his live-action Star Wars TV show going, today we get our first look at Red Tails, a World War II movie centered on the first African-American military air squadron, the Tuskegee Airmen.
Lucas is back with a vengeance, smoke on this hollywood!
I most definitely want to see this on the "BIG SCREEN". My students ,too.
This is awesome and needs to be viewed by all. Would be excellent for Black History month and for viewing for history classes.
I am an actor and student pilot. I sure wish that I had a small part in this movie. I worked with Cuba on several occasions on the movie Dirty where he plays a cop. Then worked with him on a private venue. Something like this would have accomplish my dream as an actor/pilot. This film looks great and I cannot wait until it comes out!
I will definitely see this movie chronicling the amazing feats and accomplishments of the Tuskegee Airmen. Having been blessed to know 2 of the original members, one of which was a Surrogate Grandfather to my son, I honor his memory and his brave comrades.
CGI's are too cartoony and unrealistic. You'd think Lucas would know better how to use CGI's to create realism.
Looks like crap, he can only do Star Wars, but of course he just produced this trash which means he only threw in the dollars.
This movie looks great and I love terrance howard as an actor. I agree its also a story that all americans should know about. Im also not real big on 3D but I think this movie in it would be awesome, the dog fights would be ridiculous. Granted it is a prretty serious subject and i dont know if it will be in 3D so time will tell.
What a great movie - the Tuskegee Airmen not only fought the Nazis, they had to endure race discrimination. I want to see this movie. It's great Air Force history, and I'm an Air Force vet!
Seriously guys? IS NO ONE aware that this movie was already made in 1995 and starred Laurence Fishburne????
Way to wade in someone else's pond, George. I suppose it's true that you have run out of ideas.
Looks Awesome! Also will ge a great film to use in schools later (well parts of depending on rating)! Great effects! I can't wait to see this!
This looks OUTSTANDING. No way that I am NOT seeing this film!
Same story. Better effects.
At last a movie that recognizes the bravery and efforts of african americans.
I will definitely be seeing this movie on the big screen and I'll be buying the Blu-Ray also to see it again and again. My dad was a Tuskee-Airman by definition who died before Bush and Pelosi invited the pilots to the capitol rotunda to award them the Congressional Gold Medal. George Lucas has always been in tune with America's greatest generation. Although he uses dramatic effect to portray men who were much more understated, the truth needs this drama to convey exactly what their lives were. These are men who began in the Army and ended in the Air force. They weren't hired by airlines when they were done like their White counterparts and many died before recognition in the winter 2007. Thank you George for expanding their legacy.
It does look pretty good... but January is a better time for DVD and Blu-Ray sales than theater sales.
Awesome, I will definitely be going and buying the blue ray DVD afterwards!
I most certainly will see this movie. Not only is it about time that these brave men have their story shared, but it looks like it will be a good one too. The Tuskegee Airmen saved so many lives when no one thought that they could be of value. I love a good prove them wrong story.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
