Good news and bad news for those anticipating that big-screen Footloose remake: Variety reports that Craig Brewer (Hustle and Flow) has come onboard as the film's newest director afterHigh School Musical's Kenny Ortega left over creative differences (he wanted some big, flashy musical-type movie, and Paramount wanted a toned-down drama). That's the good news, I think. The bad news (especially for you Gossip Girl fans) is that heartthrob Chace Crawford will no longer be starring in the movie due to scheduling conflicts with Gossip Girl.
wow... hated Footloose?!? Wait.... and Karate Kid?!?!?! Granted Kenny Loggins does suck but who hasn't gotten the song Footloose stuck in their head? Or hasn't "kicked off their Sunday shoes" c'mon everybody "lose your blues" lol. I wonder if Kevin will be in the movie?
Yes, I am serious! If you liked those movies, then I am happy for you.I am sure that there are movies that I really liked, and you probably didn't. I am going to see "Kick Ass" today, and I hope that it will be a movie we will both like.
Keep going to the movies Shannon and thanks for replying!
I hated the original movie! Kevin Bacon danced like a spaz.. Most of his acrobatic- dance was done by a gymnist from UCLA. It had the worst cast, and Kenny Loggins's sountrack sucked!
The "Karate Kid" was another movie that was terrible!
Are you serious? Were you actually watching the movies at all?
hahahah! boo! niether one, in fact pull the project. im tired of remakes. honestly. youve got your step up 1,2,3-d. they tried this with dirty dancing, and that fail miserably. When this movie is done, it'll most likely have the same feel as Hairspray. Sorry just my opinion. I like the original, hopefully they wont do the same to Saturday Night Fever. then again wouldnt be surprised
I think Derek Hough (DWTS) looks good for the role, I don't know if he can act though.
That's pretty disgusting given that his real life sister would be playing his love interest.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
