It seems like every month we're listing actors who may or may not take over for Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) in the next franchise reboot, due out (in 3D) in 2012. We know that Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) is directing, but we don't know which up-and-coming young male actor will win the coveted role. Perhaps, though, we've had the most significant progress so far: Heat Vision just put out the shortlist of actors vying for the part. It's a list of five guys – some you've seen more than others – and not long from now one of them could nab the part. Which one? We don't know. Here they are – tell us which one you'd choose…
What about Logan Lerman? I thought they were thinking about him too?
next thing captain america will be british.
None! Ugh, why are they doing this to us? I guess if I had to choose from the five, Bell. He seems to be the right guy. But if I could throw Frankie Muniz in, that's be awesome. He still looks young and he'e got that touch of geek. Other than that, not too excited about the reboot.
I'd give Daniel Radcliffe a thumbs up. Awkward charm and he's already used to the flying through the air effects. Though, like Jamie Bell, the accent could get in the way. Harry fans might have issues adjusting, but then again Hans Solo to Indianna Jones probably had some people in a twist too.
What about James Mcavoy?
You've actually got a picture of Christian Coulson who played Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Just because it's the first result for Frank Dillane on Google Images doesn't mean it's accurate.
Ummmm well i personally think that Jamie Bell would be a really good spider-man. But to be honset I think spider-man is really burned out. I wonder what this spider-man is going to be about....
I could see Jamie Bell if he could do a convincing American accent. I could also see the producers giving Spider-Man the "Dark Knight" treatment and making it a little edgier than the Tobey McGuire version. Sorry Tobey, not going to miss you in the part. (what are the chances of replacing Kirsten Dunst, too? Oh please replace Kirsten Dunst)
Jamie Bell would give a much needed edge to the character that it currently lacks.A more down to earth and gritty, conflicted Peter Parker.Bell definately has the talent to do the role justice if given the opportunity.
Def Jamie Bell... He's PERFECT for the role!
Uh Anton Yelchin should.
How about Taylor Kitsch? Now there is something to look at!!!!!!
What about Christian Hayden Church? He could do that role.Who ever it is, Spiderman needs to
have an edginess too him. Toby McGuire was ok, but he was a wuss. To bad there is not a younger Jason Statham, Gerard Butler or Daniel Craig out there somewhere.
right off the bat, id say Jamie Bell, but i think his accent would get in the way, plus with being in Tintin, i dont see how he'd fit it in his schedule, great actor tho. Cant see Hutcherson, not a big fan of em because he hasnt impressed me with his acting, plus he doesnt have the "geeky" look. i like Alden Ehrenreich best, not a well known at all, but since Steven Spielberg discovered him, i dont see why not
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
