Halloween is a week away and if you're still trying to figure out what costume to wear, superheroes are a good place to start.
In a recent survey, we asked more than 1,000 fans on which movie-inspired costumes from 2012 films as well as classic/iconic movies they'd dress up as.
The Avengers ruled among men with Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and Hulk claiming the first four spots respectively for 2012 movie costumes. Batman rounded out the top five.
Among women, CatWoman and Katniss went one-two respectively, followed by a couple of characters from Snow White and the Huntsman. Snow White was third with her nemesis Queen Ravenna claiming fourth. Black Widow from The Avengers rounded out the top five.
Here are the top ten movie-themed costumes for men and women below. Is your costume listed below? If not, what movie-themed character are you dressing up as?

Fanboy Fix, The Avengers, Halloween
This year, I'm dressing up as The First Avenger, Captain America, because he's my favorite superhero of them all!
But this is so cool that four of the Avengers have topped the men's movie costumes this year!
Sorry, but Queen Regina from "Once Upon a Time" is a MUCH better Evil Queen than Queen Ravenna...and dresses better, too.
I've been working on losing weight, but I have not seen ANY Catwoman or Black Widow costumes to try on or find a store that stocks them in a reasonable size. (Up to size 10? Are you kidding, Party City?!)
I'm going as Rumpel from OUAT again (Different outfit, though), but I have also been finishing a Rapunzel costume. I love to cosplay, as for movie characters from this year I've been plotting, it's Merida and Josette (From "Dark Shadows") but unfortunately, I've had to put a lot on hold due to a financial situation. :(
You might want to try LingerieDiva. I model and get All my costumes from them. They are what you'd get at the store( manufacturers & quality) but have a wider size selection & keep in mind that you might want to go up a size( I know I've had to @ 5'7", 125, 32e-24-34.) easier to pin or tape it then be uncomfortable in a too small- especially this close to Halloween. They offer various shipping options( returns are easy) too. Hope this helps! Happy Halloween!!!! Jennifer
Ps: I bought the Bollywood, long, orange outfit & had to go up a size..
Would love to dress up as the nosy-in your face House-keeper Ms. Johnson from the Classic Horror/Gothic-Supernatural TV Soap DARK SHADOWS played with mystery intrique by Actress Clarice Blackburn (she's awesome!!). A legend.
I'm going to be Batman. Next year im going to be Wreck-It Ralph.
Maybe next year if Wreck it Ralph is great i already posted what I'm going to be
I've already seen some people coming with ways to make the costume. Hopefully, Disney will releases a Wreck It Ralph costume (maybe even Fix It Felix Jr. costumes!)
Well see ps JoBlo turned in the movies first review to Rotten Tomatoes today
Hell yes! It would be awesome to see it get 100%! I think its going to get great reviews!
Lets cross our fingers Matt maybe in the 80s or 90s
We will see fandad, and if not then I guess were both suckers.
Lets hope for the best and expect the worst
I think it will do good. Disney almost never fails with their animated movies.
I was scared by most of their efforts back in the 90s but if Tangled did well so well WIR
I hope Wreck It Ralph wrecks the box office
Most likely will not due to Flight coming out
Flight will most likely fail because its not playing in as many theaters as Wreck It Ralph. Wreck It Ralph also has a more bigger fanbase. The film am worry about beating Wreck It Ralph is The Man With the Iron Fist but I bet Wreck It Ralph will win.
Still not taking chances by going in the early afternoon opening day next week
I am going to go Friday opening night. Maybe midnight if I have the energy.
Very well Mike nvm what I said yesterday about Disney doing lousy back in the 90s what matters is that Wreck it Ralph will try to impress me as Tangled did
I know Wreck It Ralph will be better than Tangled and What is up with Mike?
Sorry I'm on my iPhone and my keyboard does that all the time
Its ok fandad, on my iPad , sometimes I use the voice thing on the keyboard and sometimes it gets it gets it wrong.
See it just said gets it gets.
I get cha and I won't be disappointed with this new effort from Disney as I was a little with Tangleds ending
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
