Fanboy Fix: 'Sin City' Casts Two More Actors, 'Transformers 4' Reveals Lead Actor, 'Avengers 2' Heading to India?

The cast list for Sin City: A Dame to Kill has certainly been expanding over the past couple days. Yesterday, Joseph Gordon-Levitt joined the cast in a lead role and today brings the addition of two more actors to Robert Rodriguez's sequel.

Christopher Meloni, perhaps best known for his run on Law and Order: SVU, has signed for a lead role of a cop. Joining Meloni will be Josh Brolin whose named popped up with the JGL announcement yesterday. Brolin will play Dwight, the character played by Clive Owen in the first Sin City. For those wondering why they didn't just bring back Owen, Dwight undergoes some facial reconstruction in the sequel.

Following the casting of Mark Wahlberg in Transformers 4, Michael Bay has been pretty quiet about any cast additions to the movie. While we still await an announcement on whom the eye candy lead actress will be, Bay took to his site to announce his lead actor, Jack Reynor.

Reynor's most prominent work to date is the Irish drama What Richard Did.

Bay released the following statement about his latest casting addition:

"I just hired a great new actor for Transformers 4 to star against Mark Wahlberg. Jack Reynor, he is an Irish kid that came to America with 30 bucks in his pocket. Pretty ballsy. Seriously who does that? Anyway I spotted him in a great little Irish movie WHAT RICHARD DID. This kid is the real deal."

Transformers 4 arrives in theaters June 27, 2014 and will begin production this spring.

Just under four months from arriving in theaters, Iron Man 3 is set to finish filming this month in Beijing. A report from the Hindustan Times [via CBM] reports that director Shane Black and some Marvel scouts will be visiting India in a couple weeks to scout locations for The Avengers 2. The site reports that "three scenes in the sequel to the Marvel Studios film may be shot in the country."

No additional information is given as to what context the scenes will contain, but we have a couple years until The Avengers re-assemble in 2015.

I usually love Chris Meloni, but he was so underwhelming on this past season of True Blood that my expectations aren't as high as they would normally be. Still, these two plus JGL means the cast is coming together nicely. Now I just am wondering who the heck is playing Ava Lord!

I suppose he's a good pick but I wish they chose someone that's more well known but I guess Micheal Bay trusts him
