Exclusive: 'Pirates: On Stranger Tides' IMAX 3D Poster Premiere!

That's right! The kind folks over at IMAX/Disney have given us the exclusive IMAX 3D poster premiere for the latest Pirates installment, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides An IMAX 3D Experience, opening May 20th. I, personally, like the way they made the 'X' in IMAX as the skull and swords taken from the movie. The fourth movie in the franchise brings back Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow alongside newcomers Ian McShane as Blackbeard and Penelope Cruz as his daughter.

So what do you think? Ready for Captain Jack Sparrow in IMAX 3D? Will you go see it when it comes out? Check here for complete Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides An IMAX 3D Experience photos, videos, showtimes and tickets.

That's actually very clever. You know, people get paid a LOT to do stuff like this.

What's the buzz on this film? Bruckheimer said he had positive feedback from some earlier screenings, but not sure if that was his usual PR BS. I'd see it even if it wasn't in 3D. Rango proved you can get amazing visual quality without 3D.

Naw, its a waste of money to see a movie in 3D at the theater, even when it's Imax. I came to that conclusion when I saw How to train your dragon in Imax 3D, my wallet felt the pain, and my entertainment value didn't match the price of admission. Not only that but I've heard how to train your dragon is one of the better movies made in 3D. However if this comes out on 3D Blu ray I might go pick it up, that way I can Enjoy the slight bump in entertainment every time I see the film.

Looks like an ordinary Pirates poster, not really creative but I'm still excited to see the film.
