Get a load of the two exclusive Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D character posters that we just received! We've got a spy parents poster with Joel McHale and Jessica Alba in all her spy-smoldering glory, and a poster for their interesting pet dog, which is really some kind of super bot (voiced by Ricky Gervais) equipped with sentry and attack modes.
Jessica Alba, Robert Rodriguez, Machete, Ricky Gervais
Hey everybody! Chill. This is Spy Kids 4, not a new Desperado franchise movie or Dusk til Dawn 12 or anything like that. If you are looking for serious, go see an indie or art house film festival. This is SPY KIDS, for cryin' out loud. Although, I will say, I will be disappointed if Cheech or Ricardo Montalban are not in this one. Fake 'staches and rich Corinthian leather rule!
Am I the only movie-goer who wants to see this movie? I didn't see Machete, and didn't want to. If you thbought that would've been a serious movie, you're kidding yourself. So my Rodriguez respect still holds. this Spy Kids installment is a homage to the classic kids movies he released in the early 2000's. Personally, I thought the trailer looked great, and am quite excited to see how this turns out. Also, I too am curious at the whole 4D think; howwill he pull that off for a worldwide theatrical release?
The "Aroma-Scope" has been recently explained as those scratch-and-sniff cards with numbers like we used to have when we were little watching The Rugrats Movie. When you enter the theatre, you are given a free card with numbered areas. During the movie, there will be 8 scenes where a number will appear on the screen signalling you to scratch and sniff the corresponding number on your card. This is not exactly a new technology; nor is it very "immersive" but it sure is a fun add-on for the little ones in the family. :) Plus, the fact that it comes without an extra charge - *COUGH* RealD *COUGH* it's pretty cool.
I wonder what Joel Mchale has to say about this ... oh wait -_- ...
What do they mean by 4-d Aroma Scope?
Hopefully not one of the gimmics seen in the Smell-O-Vision post.
After Machete I will never watch anything that Rodriguez does or, for that matter, watch any actor/actress who was in Machete - so thank you for helping me save money.
This is where Jessica Alba's career goes downhill (Not that it was anywhere near the top in the first place). I'm not being cynical, but after three movies some franchises just need to end.
I am with you all the way.
Jessica Alba looks great! This is a kid's movie. Of course she's not going for serious acting in this one, and I don't think she ever has.
I think that's a little harsh. She's really branched out from where she started. She's done comedies, chick-flicks, dramas, thrillers and now a movie for (arguably) kids. I can't see this as her career coming to a screeching halt so much as it shows how versatile and well-rounded she become since Dark Angel (which is what she reminds me of in that body-hugging outfit on the poster). I'm not thrilled about the movie but I'd rent it just to see how she fits into the mood of the role and the story.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
