Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
this is epic, can't wait for july I alredy requested time off work to go see the end of an era.. Well done JK and Warner bros
I watched this and cried. So sad this is the end, but so happy I get to see it. Long live HP
Flicking Wicked!!!! Can't wait for the movie to get here....I know that I am going to be seeing it SEVERAL times...now just have to get tickets for the midnight show!!!!
I honestly doubt this will be the LAST OF THE HARRY POTTER MOVIES! ! !I've heard they are planning on more! ! !
This movie looks like a fitting way to end the phenomenon that was Harry Potter. They will all be sorely missed and thank you to JK Rowling for all the fun and magic!
I agree mystical fun, magic and intrique all the HARRY POTTER films are Classic(s) and the characters & storyline missed. But I do believe that the fame Author JK Rowling's is focusing next on the future children of Harry & his close friends...'so therefore the touch is passed on to the next generation. Looking forward to this most darkest & newest Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows Pt 2 this Summer 2011 it's gonna be some serious fights in this one, "Lets begin this where we started it...'Us" stong words spoken by Harry, I think that the evil Voldermont & his co-hoots are gonna get excellent what they deserves. I'm still very upset how they killed Prof Dumbodore...'that was so wrong!!!
Looks awesome!! But what's with the Voldemort scene when Harry says, "Let's finish this...." and then pulls Voldy off the stone wall into the ocean? Um, I don't remember anything like that. Where in the story would this be? Anyone have a guess?
that scene has been added for dramatic effect, and to please the HP fans who have not read the books (though I have to admit I'm a snob about that... can one be a real HP fan if he hasn't read the books? I think not.)
Well, I will see your 54 years & raise you by 14 (an American poker reference). I'm 68 and as fanatic a HP fan as any. I was introduced to Harry Potter when my family read the first book to each other on a lo-o-ong road trip back about the time HP2 had just come out. We enjoyed doing the character voices to each other. While in Colorado, visiting our son & his family, I found & bought HP2 & we read it on the way home! I also made an HP addict of my daughter in law, by introducing her to Harry, & she subsequently introduced it to her daughter, when she got old enough to read them. I have all of the books & the movies. I have read all of the books multiple times & recently re-read HP7, in anticipation of the movie.
I can't believe these movies are coming to an end! they were my favorite, i wish i had an imagination like J.K. Rowling and making tons of money for my ideas! When this movie ends I will applaud and cry. (: Thank you to the Harry Potter cast for making all these years a memorabilia to all us and the generations yet to come!!! :D
I can't wait! Should have watched the two parts together...seeing the first one was like loaning your book before you finished it! *gasp* Who would do that?!?
I have grown very attached to the trio and am very sad they have to go away. I feel like they are my children that I have watched grow all these years and now they are flying the coop.
Great-great-great series of books and movies! Thanks to J.K.Rowling for letting us share this fantasy, truly a gripping story that never failed to entertain me.
I love this movie series and am sad that the original actor who potrayed Albus Dumbledore, Richard Harris, died after the second Harry Potter film and was never able to see the success that this series has become. He was a truly magnificent actor. This is not to demenish the success of the actor who replaced him, Michael Gambon who is ever so impressive!
Well said Tags5
i'm so excited abiut the last Harry Potter and it looks like it will be the best film of them all!Wish tommorrow was July, and in 3D ,thats awsome!
Tags5, you are moving me to tears! You should write a letter to Ms. Rowling and let her know that! I just started reading HP3 AGAIN last night and the description of Ron trying to use the telephone to talk to Mr. Dursley is a RIOT! I swing back and forth from tears to sidesplitting laughter all the time with this stuff. Its simply BRILLIANT!
And all is not lost, people!!! Ms. Rowling IS a young lady and I think we can all count on her coming back with something new and probably equally as powerful once she recharges completely.
That will be the next literary feast!
I am so sorry to see this come to and end, but I will faithfully be viewing the series over and over through the technical marvel of DVD and Blu-Ray. I will probably even watch again when I purchase the 3-D versions which will surely be released in the future. I also will re-read these amazing novels. Harry Potter series has spanned the technical advances of DVD era, Blu-Ray, Pay-or view-on-Demand, Electronic Downloads, I-Max and soon to arrive 3-D emmersion.
It has spanned the decades of my babies becoming young adults and learning to read through the magic of J.K. Rowling. I never read novels of any kind in my life until this series. I am now a dedicated reader of many other books as well. Thank you for all the years.
I'm old and I was young when I started reading and seeing Harry Potter films. Seriously, I'm a 60 year old grandma who started reading HP with my Grandchildren. I am a devoted fan as well, and like many others hate to see it all end - - but we are ready, we've been waiting for the end!!! Nothing anywhere in motion picture land to compare with the Harry Potter series.
I couldn't agree more. I am 51 years young. I have left a message on this site as well.
God Bless Ms. Rowling and her wonderful genius! What a remarkable, amazing gift she's given us all and what a magnificent work of literary art! The Dark Lord thought he could live forever by stealing life from others. But Ms. Rowling showed us that we will live forever only if we give as much love as we possibly can, as often as we can, to everyone we can. If you don't believe me, just ask Severus Potter! And BTW, I'm 54 years young!
Love your Severus Potter reply. It is so very true! And BTW I am 51 years young. I would say old but J.K. Rowling makes me feel like saying young.
I am so excited I been waiting since part 1 i went first day, wow and I'm 38 years old a real fan have all the books too. I already took off for opening day of part 2 and movies is like 100 yds from my home
I hope it is a I-Max theater for you to experience it in 3-D!
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
