It's been a while since we heard anything about casting for The Wolverine, then suddenly, four actors have been cast in the film. Today, The Wolverine added a bunch of Japanese actors to its cast. Characters include Shingen (Hiroyuki Sanada), Yashida (Hal Yamanouchi), Mariko (Tao Okamoto) and Yukio (Rila Fukushima). The Wolverine will be based on the early Marvel comics arc by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller which finds Wolverine traveling to Japan and battling The Silver Samurai. On that front, Variety is reporting that Yun Lee is in the running to play that role. [ComingSoon]
Fans who were hoping that Christopher Nolan might help produce the long-stalled Justice League movie or future Batman movies, we've got bad news. In short, Nolan says he won't be producing any of those movies. He says, "I've got no plans to do anything more, and certainly no involvement with any Justice League project." Insert sad face here. If possible bring in the character of X-Men Gambit to help out. Superman: Men of Steel, The Hobbit Pt. I and II (great poster images, above. Nice!!!) and Pacific Rim all look amazing and eager to see them on the big screen!
