Look up in the sky – it’s a bird, it’s a plane … it’s country music sensation Taylor Swift and she’s about to kick some serious butt! We don’t know that yet, since this is just another one of those crazy rumors, but according to Hollyscoop producers are real interested in having Taylor Swift play Supergirl in a big-screen movie. The site claims Swift is among a number of young stars being looked at for the role of Supergirl, which last arrived in theaters back in 1984 with a very lackluster (and unsuccessful) version that starred Helen Slater as the girl in the cape.
Ok they didn't ask if she was pretty enough to play supergirl, but the skinny thing has its merits. You can't be that small and make a succesful super hero... Plus, I think, she has a way too innocent aura about her that wouldn't make for a very intimidating super hero... So no, I don't think a new Supergirl would work with Taylor Swift. They need to make a Superman movie that matches the amazing work of The Dark Knight and Watchmen.
Taylor Swift has already ruined country music does she have to ruin Supergirl and the movies. a real actress with real talent should get it.
Absolutely will not work. Taylor is to thin. Supergirl is supposed to have super strength. How can the powers that be expect the fans to identify with a girl that looks like she would break in a strong wind? At least find someone that looks the part and not just hire someone because they already have a fan base. Maybe if Taylor could gain say 15 - 20 pounds it would at least be conceivable.
But please do not choose her because shes already popular.
I wish they would focus and do the Wonder Woman movie they've been talking about for years and years!
no. swift is not supergirl. i would like to see ali larter to play her or the girl from G.I. Joe that played scarlett .
Oh and she is blonde too, I think her name is Rachel Nichole I could be wrong thou.
God no you miles well have Avril Lavine play the part lease she played a part in a movie but just a voice thou or maybe the actress that played Scarlett on G I Joe she would be great she's hot and sex.
hell no. aren't people sick of stars getting parts they don't deserve? she's a songwriter, hardly a singer, and definitely not an actress. let's not stretch things that can't be stretched.
I am so with you. Enough of Swift! And ACTORS who've worked hard and studied for their craft should get acting roles. Pesonall,Swift's not even that great a singer. She's pretty much publicized the right way,and video packaged as well.
OMG, Taylor Swift in a Supergirl outfit. That would be awesome for guys everywhere for the Spankbank.....this one is a must!
well i think she would be good for the part and she is not ulgy shes beautiful
shes to ugly
first. she is a walking skeleton, skinnier than a rale
two. it will be awful
third.definitly...definitly not super girl
PLEASE GOD NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT AS IS PLEASE GOD NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ambivilant about the movie, but I think she'd make a good Supergirl - she was tall & wiry, just like Swift. There is a real physical resembalance, which I imagine why her name has come up. The bigger question is, can she act well enough to carry a movie? Maybe they should start out with a bit part in the next Superman movie & see how it goes before sinking all the money into a feature.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
