In yesterday's recap, we mentioned that Stephen Gaghan, the writer/director of Syriana was set to make his next feature film, titled Candy Store. Two names that were attached with that news were Denzel Washington and Brad Pitt. Now it appears the production is also eyeing Christoph Waltz for a part.
In addition to the news that mentions Waltz as a potential cast member are plot details uncovered by The Wrap.
According to the report, the film follows, "an elite, highly trained deep-cover operative who loses everything, ultimately disappearing into Brooklyn, where he must start again. He washes up as a beat cop, only to discover the global organization he was dedicated to fighting is also operating in his new backyard."
The role that Pitt is up for is Mark Swain, but if things don't work out, there's a long line of actors that are also under consideration including Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Bradley Cooper.
Waltz would play a guy named Black Zenga, which sounds like a villain role.
As this film pieces itself together, what do you think of the potential cast of Pitt, Denzel and Waltz?
