It's taken awhile, but it looks like an official decision has finally been made with regards to whether The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn would be split into two films. Deadline Hollywood reports that the final installment in the Twilight franchise will indeed come in the form of a two-parter, a la Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with both films shooting back-to-back beginning in mid-October.
Breaking Dawn, 3-D
I think they should run the movies normally back to back but sale movies in 3D on DVD'S.
I think they will make alotttt more money that way. If you think about it , if is really good in normal view , just think of the reaction of people wanting to see it in 3D on DVD.
ok i love the idea of slitting the movie cuz theres just soo much happening, but to put it in 3D it would completly ruin the movie. i mean theres not that much fighting in breaking dawn. and avatar was only a hit in 3D because it was action packed breaking dawn isnt really action packed
i dont mind splitting it but y would u want it in 3D. thats stupid they shouldnt. it would ruin the movie.
ok make it two films but if us die hard fans are going to have to wait a year between them they better NOT leave one thing out or they'll have some pretty upset people! as far as the 3d goes i think it would be a waste of money. I agree that Renesmee would be way to hard to do in 3d and still look real!! with that being said im really hoping that they can use a/several actresses for her part yes it would be difficult but not impossible!!! i just cant wait im super excited to see the creativity its going to take to make these films a hit!!!and not a flop
Yes I wouldn't mind Breaking Dawn in two movies to make sure they do the film justice, but sure don't want to wait for it to go into 3D. I just want to see my favorite book on film.
They should be taking the money that would go into two movies and making it three-d and put it toward hiring a better screen writer, director, and give the actress playing Bella some acting lessons or hire someone else to play her. Lets face it, fans will come to see the movies regardless if they suck, but it would be nice if the quality of the movie wasn't so dissappointing to fans. Just because the Harry Potter films are splitting the last book into two movies, doesn't mean that every book-into-film saga has to do that. By the way, a lot of HP fans don't really like that anway. The book wasn't split in two, so why should the film? Stop trying to polish what doesn't need polising and work on fixing what really matters, please.
lol i agree/love your comment its the best 1 yet....
and sure dont have to do everything harry potter do.. it gives the harry potter fans something to brag about like my friends keep saying thats why twilight is gonna copy off of harry potter cause harry potter is a leader and twilight is a stubid follower i got so mad..
They cannot make the movie unless they do it in 2 seperate movies!!! Almost every chapter in the book has something that should not be left out. The wedding, the honeymoon, Jacob's view, Renesmee's birth, etc. Nothing should be left out of the movie(s) otherwise it will destroy the story!! But I do not think it should be in 3D. It doesn't need to be. I think they should be more concerned about making Renesmee, she is not like a normal baby obviously. They are not gonna be able to find some little girl to play the part. And they have to make it believable...I'm just hoping they do it right for all the fans!!! PLEASE DONT BUTCHER MY FAVORTIE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!
I agreee that Breaking Dawn should be split into two movies, there is os much going on in the book that if they do it right, it's the only way. I can also understand the 2nd installment being in 3D. The third section of Breaking Dawn is through Bella's eyes and in this section she is a vampire who sees everything differently and better. This may also help with displaying Bella's "gift" for the figth scene at the end, as well as Zafrina's gift. If you read the book, you would understand. So, I don't think 3D is such a bad idea for the final installment, but definitely not for the first one (unless it's the feathers from the pillows...the only part that would be good in 3D) :-)
crackers w/ cheese
why take so long? make it and release it in regular, then go back and finish up with the 3d installment. im sure im probably like thousands of others who would not only see it many times over in the theater as regular, and then pay to see it a couple more times in the 3d experience. bring on the finale:)
3-D sounds good to me and in two parts.................................Yes I think that is best, some people tend to get lost in a 4 hour movie and miss important areas.
Two movies? Yes. There is a clear division in the story for Summit to make that break and allow the telling of the story in two parts and avoid a 5 hour movie, although part 1 would be relatively tame and border on boring.
3D? Yes and no. The first half, no way. It just isn't the type of story conducive to 3D. The second half, sure. The powers of all the different vampires, action and fighting sequences could justify make part two 3D and not make it seem wasted, especially in the final showdown with the Volturi.
They have to do two movies; you could never get all the details of BD into one movie. 3D...No Way! There would be too much fabrication to the story to add 3D scenes.
I would rather have a three + hour movie with an intermission like a play, than have 2 movies...I think this is just a way for the studio to get twice as much money from ticket sales, DVD sales, and all that out of us. Way to please the fans that have built this whole Twilight empire up to what it is, Summit.
I absolutely agree! Whether in the theatre or on DVD, I want my butt to be numb while the rest of me is completely satisfied watching this film IN ITS ENTIRETY!!! (that also goes for the final Harry Potter film too!!)
forget the 3D crap-make it into two movies if you must-we just want Edward!
I'm definetely down for them breaking the movie into two parts, that way they won't be able to leave anything out. But making it 3D? I don't know about that.
Of course! 3D is a really good option. Because when bella is turned into a vampire she sees things really different from how they are, and those details would be great in 3D. I really love the twilight saga and i think they´re making the right thing: Give fans what they want, cause with 3 twilight movies more on the way we will be satisfied with an extra breaking dawn movie. 3D AND 2 MOVIES GOT MY VOTE!
Wow you are a GENIUS!! I never thought about Bella seeing things differently and everything once she is a vampire! but now I think 3D is a really good idea!!
two movie yes can't get enough.. 3D.. not sure, LOVED Avatar.
Well, in my opinion, the book is definately too long for just one movie. That's a given. As for 3-D.... it seems like a good idea. After seeing Avatar in 3-D, one can plainly see how much better the CGI looks. It makes it almost as real as being in the movie and something like the Wolves phasing would look outstanding. So, although having the time between each movie release would be a negative, I think it is worth the wait to have the movie looking spectacular in 3-D.
YEA!!! That guy knows what he's talking about!!! Wooo!!!!! Breaking Dawn!!!!!
Two movies no. In 3D no way they should have all come out at the some time and have all the same charcters
Quite frankly, I wondered why they would break it into 2 movies... the book is long but there is no substantial action to warrant 2. I would gladly sit through a 3 hour movie. And I agree with most of you who say that there is nothing in the book/movie that's worth converting to 3 D.
