My prediction didn't exactly go too well last week, as Despicable Me proved there's still box office life left in original animated films. So, yeah, sorry Twilight Saga: Eclipse – I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but it didn't seem like you were destined to stay on top for very long. Now, we wonder, whether Despicable Me will follow in the footsteps of Toy Story 3 and Shrek Forever After by repeating as the number one movie this weekend, or will one of our two new releases shove it out of the way. Let's take a look…
Who Will Win the Weekend?survey software
Inception, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Box Office
Inception is a S N O R E!
Me too! Franchise or Inception II very possible. Did everyone get why?
Inception will definitely win
I'm voting for Inception. Just because Leo is so cute, lol. I'm going to see it tomorrow.
Inception, mos def! It's a, er, "no brainer". LOL.......pass the popcorn!
wait, the sorcerer's apprentice was based on the classic disney short? You know, its been some time since i last saw it, but i'm pretty sure mickey mouse wasn't driving any sports cars shooting plasma balls out his hands or running away from alfred molina.
They took the short bit where Mickey was trying to tame the runaway mops and made it into a movie. How good do you think that could be?
I just saw Inception and it was seriously one of the best movies I have ever seen.
I don't know if I would go that far, but it was very, very good. It shouldn't have any problem winning the weekend.
The Sorcerer's Apprentice's Wednesday and Thursday grosses have been very poor, so I doubt it will have a chance. Inception shouldn't have a problem taking the weekend, unless people get turned off by the fact that it actually requires them to use their brain. Although the film isn't complicated, as long as you pay attention. Despicable Me should hold decently, but unless Inception completely flops, it doesn't even have a chance to take first. I do predict Despicable to hold over well enough to beat Sorcerer's Apprentice, however.
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
