Yesterday, we posted about a Star Trek photo that finally revealed the identity of Benedict Cumberbatch's character in Star Trek into Darkness.
Today, thanks for ComingSoon.net, we can shed some light onto Alice Eve's character in J.J. Abrams' sequel. While talking to some of the talent from the highly anticipated sequel, the site revealed that Eve's character is **SPOILER ALERT**
Carol Marcus.
The character was portrayed by Bibi Besch in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and was a Federation scientist whose work led to the top-secret "Project Genesis." She had a relationship with James T. Kirk and became the mother to his son, David. The couple ultimately decided that it was best for her to raise the boy alone.
We'll have to wait until this Friday's nine minute preview attached to IMAX screenings of The Hobbit, before we can get a better idea of how closely Star Trek into Darkness mirrors the original film series. The fact that Bad Robot Productions nonchalantly revealed Eve's role leads us to believe that it's not a major spoiler.
Star Trek into Darkness opens May 17, 2013.

For awhile there I thought her character name was Alice Eve but that's her "real name." She has cool name Ms. EVE does: and looking forward to seeing her knock Capt. KIRK off his feet in the role of Carole Marcus. Awesome!!

Very interesting to hear about Captain Kirk's past dames
"Welcome to the party, pal."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
"When am I gonna learn how to punch?"
"These go to eleven."
"Benjamin, have you ever been severely beaten about the face & neck?"
"Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming."
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
"Jessica's got cable."
"Squirrel!"
